DJI’s next pocket-sized vlogging camera may be getting closer to launch. While the company hasn’t publicly confirmed a successor to the Osmo Pocket 3, new regulatory activity suggests a new model is progressing behind the scenes: the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro.
The key development is that the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro has now appeared in Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification records. That matters because FCC certification is typically a necessary step before consumer electronics can be sold in the United States, and it often signals that a broader international rollout is planned. Notably, the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro follows the Osmo Pocket 4, which previously showed up in FCC listings as well.
Still, certification doesn’t automatically mean a product launch is imminent. DJI hasn’t announced the Osmo Pocket 4 despite it reportedly receiving FCC certification months ago, so the Pocket 4 Pro’s appearance should be viewed as a strong hint of progress—not a guaranteed release date.
What the FCC documents do reveal is a battery detail that will interest creators who rely on pocket gimbals for travel shoots and all-day filming. The Osmo Pocket 4 Pro is listed with a 1,545 mAh battery rated at 7.7 V. That’s a noticeable step up from the Osmo Pocket 3’s 1,300 mAh battery, and it matches the capacity expected for the standard Osmo Pocket 4—suggesting DJI may be aiming for improved endurance across the next generation, not just the Pro model.
For anyone hoping to see the device design, there’s a catch: the FCC has agreed to keep product photos under wraps until the end of June 2026. That means there won’t be an official look from regulatory images for a while, leaving would-be buyers to wait for further leaks or an announcement.
Even with those limitations, the bigger takeaway is clear. With both the Osmo Pocket 4 and the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro moving through certification, DJI appears to be preparing new additions to its compact stabilized camera lineup, and the FCC filings strongly point to a global release when the company is ready to go public.
