Citizen is growing its Super Titanium lineup again, this time with a fresh set of slim, lightweight AW1900 series watches designed for easy everyday wear. Set to cost around €229 in Europe, these new 40 mm models focus on comfort, clean styling, and solar-powered convenience, all wrapped in a case that’s made to stay looking sharp.
The big draw of titanium watches is how light they feel on the wrist, and Citizen leans into that advantage here with Super Titanium. Compared with stainless steel, Super Titanium is noticeably lighter while also offering improved scratch resistance, which is especially useful on a watch with polished surfaces. Citizen’s goal with the AW1900 series is clear: a practical, office-ready watch that slips under a shirt cuff without effort thanks to its slim 9.49 mm profile.
Inside, the AW1900 series uses Citizen’s Eco-Drive J810 caliber. Instead of requiring regular battery changes, Eco-Drive converts light into energy using a solar cell positioned around the dial. Once fully charged, the watch can run for up to 240 days, making it a low-maintenance option for anyone who just wants a dependable daily watch. Citizen also includes a battery discharge indicator, and there’s a date window at 3 o’clock that adds functionality without crowding the dial.
Design-wise, the AW1900 keeps things classic with a sunray dial offered in four colors for the European market. Citizen adds a bit of visual punch with second hands finished in contrasting shades like light blue or red, giving the silver, black, and blue dial options a sharper focal point without making the watch look overly sporty.
The specs stay firmly in everyday territory: crystal glass on top and 5 bar water resistance, which is suitable for typical daily exposure like hand washing and rain. The watch is paired with a matching Super Titanium bracelet featuring solid construction and a safety folding buckle. Thanks to the titanium build, the full watch and bracelet combination comes in at just 78 g, a detail many buyers notice immediately the moment it’s on the wrist.
The Citizen AW1900 series is available now in Europe, offering a slim, solar-powered titanium option that balances comfort, durability, and clean design at a price point that should appeal to anyone shopping for a versatile daily watch.
