Citizen Refreshes Promaster Marine Dive Watch Lineup With Four New Colorways and Longer Eco-Drive Battery Life
Citizen is giving its popular Promaster Marine series a fresh update with four new dive watches designed for everyday wear, outdoor adventures, and serious water use. The latest models bring together a compact stainless steel case, bold color options, 200-meter water resistance, and an upgraded solar-powered Eco-Drive movement with improved battery life.
The new Citizen Promaster Marine collection is scheduled to launch in Japan on July 16, 2026, with a price of ¥69,300, which is approximately $426. While global availability has not yet been confirmed, the watches are expected to attract attention from dive watch fans looking for a practical, durable, and colorful sports watch.
The collection includes four versions, each offering a different personality while keeping the same core specifications.
The Citizen Promaster BN0265-00A features a clean white dial paired with a black bezel and an olive green strap, giving it a rugged yet versatile look. The BN0266-07E goes for a stealthier style with a black dial, black bezel, and matching black strap. For those who prefer something more energetic, the BN0268-01E combines a black dial with a bright orange bezel and orange strap. The BN0267-04L delivers a classic aquatic feel with a navy blue strap, matching blue bezel, and a blue gradient dial.
All four watches share the same 40.6mm stainless steel case, making them more compact than many modern dive watches while still offering strong wrist presence. With a thickness of 11.7mm and a weight of 86g, the new Promaster Marine models should feel comfortable for daily use and slim enough to fit under a shirt cuff.
As expected from a Promaster Marine diver, the watches are built for reliability. Each model includes a unidirectional rotating bezel, 200 meters of water resistance, Type 1 magnetic resistance, mineral glass, and a date display positioned at 3 o’clock. These features make the lineup suitable for recreational diving, swimming, boating, and everyday wear.
One of the biggest upgrades is the new Citizen Eco-Drive Caliber E118 movement. Like other Eco-Drive watches, it runs on light, meaning there is no need for regular battery replacement. The new movement offers an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and improves the power reserve to approximately one year on a full charge, up from around six months in earlier versions.
Citizen says the improved energy efficiency also allows for more vibrant dial colors, which helps explain the brighter and more expressive look of this new Promaster Marine range.
The watches come fitted with a soft urethane strap made using BENEBiOL, a plant-derived biomass material developed by Mitsubishi Chemical Group. This gives the strap durability while also adding a more environmentally conscious element to the design. The strap measures 20mm wide and is designed to fit wrist sizes from 140mm to 210mm.
With its balanced case size, solar-powered movement, bold color choices, and true dive-ready construction, the new Citizen Promaster Marine collection looks like a strong option for anyone searching for an affordable, low-maintenance dive watch.
