Citizen Unveils Promaster WaveTracker Watches Featuring Sharp MIP LCD Displays

Citizen Promaster WaveTracker Watches Launch in the US and UK With Eco-Drive Power and MIP LCD Displays

Citizen has expanded its Promaster lineup with three new WaveTracker watches, now available in the United States and the United Kingdom. First introduced by the Japanese watchmaker in May 2026, the new Promaster WaveTracker series blends rugged outdoor styling with practical marine-focused tools, making it an appealing option for sailors, divers, and everyday watch enthusiasts.

The newly released models include the Citizen Promaster WaveTracker JV3000-13E, JV3002-51E, and JV3006-50L. Each version brings a distinct color combination and strap design while sharing the same core feature set.

In the US and UK, pricing starts at $795 or £579 for the JV3000-13E, which comes in a black and orange colorway with a BENEBiOL PU strap. The JV3006-50L, finished in blue, black, and silver with a metal bracelet, is priced at $850 or £599. The top-priced JV3002-51E features a black, green, and gold design with a matching metal bracelet and retails for $950 or £649.

A fourth model, the JV3001-53E in black and silver, has already appeared in Japan but has not yet launched in the US or UK. If it arrives in these markets, it is expected to be priced around $850 or £599.

One of the standout features of the Citizen Promaster WaveTracker is its Eco-Drive Calibre U812 movement. Like other Eco-Drive watches, it can be powered by any light source, reducing the need for battery replacements. This makes the WaveTracker a practical choice for users who want a low-maintenance watch built for active use.

The design combines traditional analog watch elements with modern digital functionality. The dial includes three analog hands, a dedicated mode indicator, and an MIP LCD positioned in the upper section of the watch face. This digital display gives users access to useful information such as tide graphs and moon phase data, features that will be especially valuable for boating, fishing, surfing, and coastal activities.

Citizen has also equipped the Promaster WaveTracker with several additional tools. These include an alarm, a Yacht Racing timer, and an impact detection function. Together, these features give the watch a sport-focused identity while keeping it versatile enough for daily wear.

All three currently available models are built with a 42 mm stainless steel case, giving them a sturdy but wearable size. The watches also feature scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, adding durability and helping protect the display during outdoor adventures.

The main differences between the models come down to style and strap choice. The JV3000-13E offers a sportier look with its black and orange design and PU strap, while the JV3006-50L and JV3002-51E provide a more premium feel thanks to their stainless steel bracelets.

With the new Promaster WaveTracker series, Citizen is targeting buyers who want more than just a standard analog watch. The combination of Eco-Drive technology, tide and moon phase tracking, yacht racing functions, durable materials, and bold styling makes these models a strong addition to the Promaster family.

For those looking for a rugged solar-powered watch with useful marine features, the Citizen Promaster WaveTracker range is now available in the US and UK.
