Casio Teases a Fresh G‑Shock Look with a Semi‑Transparent Dial

Casio has unveiled a fresh addition to its popular G-Shock GA-2100 lineup in China, and it’s a special release made to celebrate Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province. Officially known as the Harbin City Edition, this model carries the name GA-2100AS-2APRH and leans heavily into the city’s famous winter identity with an ice-and-snow inspired look.

The GA-2100AS-2APRH is based on the GA-2100AS-2A introduced in early 2025. It keeps the same navy blue resin case and strap, along with a striking semi-transparent blue-green dial that gives the watch a frosty, cool-toned aesthetic. What makes the Harbin City Edition stand out is the added cracked-ice pattern running across the band, designed to echo frozen surfaces and winter textures. A regional nod also appears on the strap, where “Ice City” is printed at the top of the lower strap as a clear Harbin reference.

Casio also includes a few collector-friendly touches that make this release feel more premium than a standard colorway. The watch comes with a snowflake-themed “G” pin, plus custom packaging created specifically for this edition—details that typically appeal to fans who like limited drops and city-themed collaborations.

While the design gets the special-edition treatment, the core specifications remain the same as the standard GA-2100AS-2A. It offers world time support, classic analog hands, and a small negative digital display for extra information such as the date. You also get practical everyday tools including a 1/100th-second stopwatch, hourly time signal, countdown timer, and five daily alarms. Like other GA-2100 models, it’s built for durability with 200-meter water resistance, and Casio estimates around three years of battery life with the included batteries.

Pricing in China is set at around CNY 990 (approximately $142). This model is expected to be a limited edition release and will only be available through select stores in the region, which could make it a harder-to-find GA-2100 variant for collectors and G-Shock fans outside Harbin.
