Casio has expanded US availability for three premium metal G-Shock models: the GMWBZ5000D-1, GMWBZ5000BD-1, and GMWBZ5000GD-9. After launching in November 2025 and initially being sold through select jewelers, these tough, full-metal digital watches are now easier to buy through Casio’s official US online store, the G-Shock Soho Store in New York, and some department stores.
Shoppers can currently pick up the Casio G-Shock GMWBZ5000D-1 for $660, while the GMWBZ5000GD-9 is priced at $720. The GMWBZ5000BD-1 is also listed with a suggested price of $720, but it’s not in stock on the brand’s US site at the moment.
All three watches share the same core identity: a stainless steel case and matching metal band built to handle daily wear, plus 200-meter water resistance that stays true to the G-Shock reputation. They also use an MIP LCD (memory-in-pixel) display, designed for crisp readability, along with an LED backlight for viewing in low light.
The differences come down to styling. The GMWBZ5000D-1 goes for a classic silver finish paired with a black-background display. The GMWBZ5000BD-1 keeps that same black-background display but adds a black ion-plated case and bracelet with gold accents for a more high-contrast look. If you prefer a bolder statement piece, the GMWBZ5000GD-9 features a gold ion-plated finish with black accents and a lighter display background.
Beyond the metal build, these full-metal G-Shock watches are loaded with practical everyday features. Multiband 6 radio control helps keep the time accurate automatically, while Bluetooth connectivity supports Smartphone Link for easy syncing and settings. Casio’s Tough Solar charging is included as well, helping extend battery life by topping up power from light.
Travelers and busy commuters will appreciate the ability to switch quickly between two selected time zones. You also get the expected digital essentials—alarms, a countdown timer, and a stopwatch—along with clear time and date information on the display.
While these models have already been available in parts of Europe, the bigger news for US buyers is simple: the GMWBZ5000 series is no longer limited mostly to specialty jewelers, making it much easier to find and purchase through official Casio and G-Shock retail channels.
