Baseus Unveils Ultra-Slim Magnetic Power Bank Delivering Up to 22.5W Fast Charging

Baseus is expanding its lineup of slim magnetic chargers with a new release in China called the PicoGo Air. The big headline feature is its ultra-thin body, measuring just 6.9mm. That design puts it in the same conversation as today’s thinnest magnetic power banks, coming in only slightly thicker than Xiaomi’s 6mm UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000.

Despite the slimmer profile, the PicoGo Air doesn’t sacrifice the essentials people look for in a pocket-friendly everyday carry charger. It packs a rated 5,000mAh capacity, aimed at topping up modern smartphones when you’re away from an outlet. It’s also a bit heavier than Xiaomi’s comparable model, but the overall core charging specs remain very similar.

For wireless charging, the Baseus PicoGo Air supports magnetic charging speeds up to 15W. It does not support the newer Qi 2.2 wireless charging standard, which is worth keeping in mind if you’re specifically shopping for the latest generation of Qi features. If you prefer a cable, the PicoGo Air can deliver up to 22.5W in wired charging mode, offering a faster option for quick top-ups.

Where Baseus tries to stand out is in day-to-day usability and heat management. The company includes a feature called PowerSense NFC, which lets you check detailed battery status through a companion smartphone app. That can be useful for people who want more than a simple LED indicator and prefer a clearer picture of remaining capacity and charging behavior.

Baseus also emphasizes its thermal design, calling it a “Glacier Heat Dissipation Structure.” Combined with an advanced VC heat sink and an aluminum alloy build, the PicoGo Air is designed to keep temperatures under control while charging. An adaptive temperature control feature is also included, with the goal of maintaining stable performance and improving charging safety during longer sessions.

Another practical extra is the bundled short cable. Baseus says the included cable can support up to 60W fast charging, making it potentially useful beyond just this power bank, depending on what other devices you carry.

In terms of looks and feel, the PicoGo Air leans into a clean, premium style with an Apple-inspired R-angle curved design, three metallic finish options, and strong built-in magnets intended to keep the charger firmly attached during wireless charging.

Pricing in China is set at CNY 299, which converts to about $43.44. Baseus hasn’t shared international release details yet, but the company often brings PicoGo-branded products to more markets over time, so a wider launch may follow.
