Baseus PicoGo Pro launches as a compact 45W USB-C charger with a smart display
Baseus has introduced the PicoGo Pro in China, a small but feature-packed USB-C fast charger designed to compete with compact premium adapters like the 45W Anker Nano with a display. The new charger stands out by adding a built-in intelligent screen, giving users quick charging information at a glance while keeping the design pocket-friendly.
The smart display is one of the biggest highlights of the Baseus PicoGo Pro. It can show charging details, display animations while a device is powering up, and even estimate how much time is left before charging is complete. When supported, the charger can also identify the connected device, though this feature appears to be mainly aimed at newer iPhone models for now.
Baseus has also added a useful auto shut-off function. When a connected iPhone reaches 100%, the charger can automatically stop delivering power, helping reduce unnecessary energy use and potentially supporting better long-term battery care. The built-in charging chipset is designed to adjust output based on the phone’s battery condition, allowing the charger to manage power delivery more intelligently.
Although Baseus markets the PicoGo Pro as a 45W charger, it can temporarily deliver up to 60W when connected to a compatible laptop. However, this higher-power mode only lasts for about six minutes. Due to the charger’s compact size, it may become warm during this short 60W charging period.
Device compatibility is another strong point. The PicoGo Pro supports several major fast-charging standards, including UFCS, QC3.0, PD3.2, PPS, AVS, and FCP. This means it can charge a wide variety of smartphones, tablets, earbuds, handheld devices, and some laptops, even if its device recognition feature may not work with every product.
The design is sleek and travel-friendly, with a foldable plug that makes it easier to carry in a bag or pocket. Baseus has also placed the single USB-C port on the side rather than the top, giving the charger a more distinctive look and potentially making it easier to use in certain wall outlets or power strips.
In China, the Baseus PicoGo Pro carries the model number AE22 and is priced at CNY 129, which is roughly $19. There is currently no confirmed global release date, but Baseus is expected to bring the compact smart display charger to more markets in the future.
