Acer Go Air launches with Intel Wildcat Lake, 120Hz display, and ultra-light design
Acer has refreshed its Go Air laptop lineup with a new Intel Wildcat Lake configuration, giving buyers in China another thin-and-light option aimed at users who want portability, long battery life, and smooth everyday performance.
The latest Acer Go Air model is powered by the Intel Core 5 320 processor, a mid-range chip in the Wildcat Lake family. Based on early benchmark comparisons, this processor should deliver performance in the same general range as Apple’s A18 Pro, which powers the MacBook Neo. That puts Acer’s new laptop in a competitive position for students, office users, travelers, and anyone looking for a lightweight productivity machine.
Acer pairs the Intel Core 5 320 with 12GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD. This combination should be suitable for daily tasks such as web browsing, document editing, video calls, streaming, light creative work, and multitasking across common productivity apps.
One of the main attractions of the new Acer Go Air is its display. The laptop features a 14-inch IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering more vertical screen space than traditional 16:9 laptops. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1200 pixels, and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and a more responsive visual experience.
The display also covers 120% of the sRGB color range and includes DC dimming, which may help reduce flicker and improve comfort during longer sessions. For a compact laptop focused on portability, these display features make the Go Air more appealing for both work and entertainment.
Acer has also focused heavily on portability. The new Go Air weighs just 1.19kg, or about 2.62 pounds, making it slightly lighter than the MacBook Neo, which weighs around 1.23kg. The chassis is also very slim, measuring as thin as 12.99mm. While the MacBook Neo is marginally thinner at about 12.7mm, Acer’s model remains impressively compact for a 14-inch laptop.
Battery life is another major selling point. Acer includes a 70Wh battery and claims the laptop can last up to 19 hours on a single charge, depending on usage. The Go Air also supports 100W fast charging through USB-C, with Acer saying the battery can reach 50% in about 30 minutes.
For connectivity, the laptop includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports and one USB-A port. This setup gives users access to modern high-speed accessories, external displays, storage drives, and charging options, while still keeping a traditional USB-A port for older peripherals.
Other notable features include a sleek metal finish, a 180-degree hinge, and a Full HD webcam with face recognition support. These additions make the laptop more practical for video meetings, classroom use, and flexible working environments.
In China, the new Acer Go Air with Intel Wildcat Lake has launched at CNY 5,499, which is roughly $815. Acer has not yet confirmed whether this exact configuration will be released globally. However, the internationally available Swift Air 14, introduced in June 2026 with a starting price of $699, appears to offer a very similar specification set.
With its Intel Core 5 320 processor, 120Hz 14-inch display, lightweight build, strong battery claims, and fast charging support, the new Acer Go Air looks like a serious contender in the growing market for slim productivity laptops. For buyers looking for a portable Windows alternative to compact Apple laptops, Acer’s latest Go Air could be one of the more interesting options to watch.
