Xiaomi has introduced its new Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 45W in China, bringing a slimmer-than-usual design, faster charging, and upgraded safety protections for users who want a compact portable charger with more power.
The new model arrives after a successful crowdfunding campaign and builds on Xiaomi’s earlier 5,000mAh ultra-thin magnetic power bank. This time, Xiaomi has doubled the battery capacity to 10,000mAh, making it a more practical option for travel, long workdays, and users who need to charge more than one device before reaching a wall outlet.
Despite the larger battery, Xiaomi has kept the design relatively thin. The 10,000mAh version measures 13.2mm thick, compared with 6mm on the smaller 5,000mAh model. While it is understandably thicker than its predecessor, it remains slimmer than several other magnetic power banks with the same capacity, making it a strong choice for users who want portability without sacrificing battery life.
The Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 45W is available in two color options: silver and dark gun-metal. Its magnetic design allows it to attach to compatible smartphones for convenient wireless charging, reducing cable clutter when charging on the move.
Charging performance has also improved. The new power bank supports up to 20W wireless charging, an upgrade from the 15W wireless charging offered by the 5,000mAh version. For wired charging, the USB-C port can deliver up to 45W, which is powerful enough for many smartphones, tablets, and even lightweight laptops such as the MacBook Air.
The power bank supports popular fast-charging standards, including PD 3.0, QC, and PPS. This makes it compatible with a wide range of devices, from iPhones and Android phones to accessories and portable computers. Magnetic wireless charging is supported for compatible devices, including newer iPhone and Google Pixel models.
One of the biggest highlights of the new Xiaomi 10,000mAh magnetic power bank is its focus on safety. Xiaomi says the device meets updated safety requirements designed to reduce risks linked to overheating, fire, and battery explosions. These standards include demanding tests such as needle penetration and hot-box testing, both of which are used to evaluate how safely a battery behaves under extreme conditions.
Users can also connect the power bank to a laptop to check battery health and other status information. This feature could be useful for people who rely heavily on portable charging and want to monitor the condition of their battery pack over time.
The Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 45W is currently available in China for 399 yuan, which is around $60. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed when or if the new 10,000mAh model will launch internationally. However, since the smaller 5,000mAh version has already reached global markets, there is a chance this higher-capacity model could follow later.
With its slim profile, 10,000mAh capacity, 45W USB-C output, 20W wireless charging, and improved battery safety features, Xiaomi’s latest ultra-thin magnetic power bank looks like a compelling option for anyone who wants a powerful yet portable charging solution.
