Xiaomi Unveils Ultra-Slim Magnetic Power Bank Measuring Just 6.75mm Thick

Xiaomi has introduced a refreshed version of its Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh in China, bringing faster charging, a slim design, and upgraded safety features to one of its most compact portable chargers.

The new Xiaomi magnetic power bank arrives shortly after the company released a larger 10,000mAh version, giving users another option if they prefer something lighter and easier to carry. While the latest 5,000mAh model is slightly thicker than the earlier ultra-thin version, it still keeps an impressively slim profile at just 6.75mm and weighs only 105g.

A major reason for that thin design is Xiaomi’s use of a silicon-carbon battery. This battery technology allows for higher energy density, helping the power bank stay compact without sacrificing everyday usability. For users who want a pocket-friendly charger that can attach directly to the back of a phone, this makes the new Jinshajiang model a practical travel companion.

Charging performance has also improved. The upgraded Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank now supports up to 20W wireless charging for compatible Xiaomi smartphones, compared to 15W on the previous model. Wired charging through the USB-C port has also been increased to 27W, up from 22.5W.

For iPhone users, wireless charging remains limited to 7.5W. However, the magnetic attachment should still make it convenient for compatible iPhones, as well as other Android phones that support magnetic wireless charging accessories.

Safety is another key focus of this new release. Xiaomi says the power bank complies with the GB 47372-2026 safety standard, which introduces stricter requirements designed to reduce risks linked to battery overheating, fires, and explosions. This added protection could make the device more appealing to users who are cautious about carrying portable batteries in bags or pockets.

The power bank is designed to snap magnetically onto the back of compatible smartphones, allowing users to charge without dealing with cables. It is expected to work with Xiaomi’s latest flagship phones, along with recent iPhone models and supported Android devices.

In terms of design, Xiaomi is offering the new 5,000mAh Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank in three color options: silver, black, and burgundy. The burgundy version appears aimed at users who want a color-matched accessory for premium smartphone finishes.

The Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh is now available in China for 299 yuan, which is around $45. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether this upgraded model will launch globally, but since the previous version reached markets outside China, an international release remains possible.

With its slim body, magnetic design, improved 20W wireless charging, faster USB-C output, and enhanced safety standard, Xiaomi’s latest ultra-thin power bank looks like a strong option for users who want a lightweight and stylish portable charger for daily use.
