Xiaomi to Unveil New Large Tablet as Pad 6S Pro Alongside SU7 EV, Not as Pad 7 Pro

Recent speculation has been making rounds about technology giant Xiaomi’s plans to launch new tablets, initially expected under the Xiaomi Pad 7 series. However, new insights from a well-known leaker on Weibo have hinted that the upcoming devices may instead debut as part of the Pad 6 series – specifically as the Pad 6S Pro.

The rumored Pad 6S Pro is anticipated to feature a large 12.4-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a significant jump from the 11-inch display of previous models such as the Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro. This display size and aspect ratio are reminiscent of the Pad 5 Pro 12.4, which was unveiled as an update to the Pad 5 series back in August 2022.

Under the hood, the new device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, aligning with previous leaks regarding the tablet’s performance capabilities. It appears that the model in question could be identified by the code 24018RPACC, which has been associated with a Xiaomi device that comes with a 120 W charger as per the latest 3C certification in China. A variant for the global market, indicated by the model number 24018RPACG, has also been noted in prior reports.

The impending Pad 6S Pro is rumored to be unveiled in conjunction with Xiaomi’s SU7 EV. In addition to this, there’s talk of two new Redmi tablets set to release later within the year, which bear the model numbers 2405 and 2407. However, specifics regarding the Redmi tablets have yet to be disclosed.

With anticipation building around the arrival of these new devices, Xiaomi enthusiasts and the tech community are keeping a close eye on any official announcements for the Pad 6S Pro and the associated upcoming tablet models.
