The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro impressed us with its remarkable LC display, a standout choice for those avoiding pulse width modulation. Despite the fierce competition from OLED technology, this tablet holds its own with a top-notch LCD screen.
Featuring a resolution of 3,200 x 2,136 pixels on its 12.5-inch display, the tablet offers razor-sharp clarity, exceeding 300 PPI. The peak brightness reaches nearly 1,000 nits (we measured around 953 cd/m²), making it perfect for enjoying HDR video content.
Although it can’t achieve the pitch-black tones of OLED screens, the display provides an impressive black level of 0.26 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of about 1:3,500. This contrast level is more than adequate for everyday use, and while there’s some compromise with slight brightening of blacks in dim settings, it ensures a flicker-free experience.
For users sensitive to screen flicker, the LCD’s lack of PWM is a significant advantage. The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro’s flicker-free brightness adjustments mean you can enjoy long viewing sessions without eye strain, headaches, or discomfort.
