The latest version of HWiNFO now supports the newly launched GeForce RTX 5090 D V2 graphics card, which made its debut in the Chinese market today.
The GeForce RTX 5090 D V2 has officially hit retail shelves in China, marking its release after the original RTX 5090 D variant faced a ban a few months back. This updated version features scaled-down specifications, including reduced VRAM capacity, narrower memory bus width, and decreased memory bandwidth.
While maintaining the same shaders as the RTX 5090, the RTX 5090 D V2’s capabilities have been adjusted to comply with US export policies. HWiNFO’s latest version, 8.30, now supports this card, allowing users to view precise specifications for their GPU. Priced at approximately $2,880, the RTX 5090 D V2 keeps in line with its predecessor’s pricing, matching the cost of the faster variant.
In addition to the RTX 5090 D V2, HWiNFO’s database update includes the RTX 5050, which was released last month. The software also offers early support for Intel’s upcoming Nova Lake, signaling progress on this new lineup aimed at the mainstream market. Although not new to HWiNFO’s release notes, the inclusion highlights Intel’s advancement in developing its next-gen processors.
Expected next year, Intel’s Nova Lake intends to serve both desktop and mobile sectors, potentially featuring up to 52 cores. Rumors suggest a major boost in L3 cache with the Nova Lake AX, though details remain unconfirmed. Intel’s ongoing development also includes mobile processors with core counts ranging from six to 28 for the HX family, offering a versatile selection to meet various needs.
