Xiaomi Laptop Prices Jump Overnight Across Seven Models

Xiaomi Raises Laptop Prices in China as Several Redmi Book Models Get More Expensive

Xiaomi has reportedly increased prices for several of its laptops in China, with some models becoming noticeably more expensive overnight. The latest price adjustments are said to affect at least seven Redmi and Xiaomi laptop models, including current and upcoming Redmi Book Pro devices.

According to reports from Chinese tech media, the affected lineup includes the 2025 Redmi Book Pro 14, 2025 Redmi Book Pro 16, Xiaomi Book Pro 14, 2026 Redmi Book 14, 2026 Redmi Book 16, 2026 Redmi Book Pro 14, and 2026 Redmi Book Pro 16. Depending on the model, the price increase ranges from 400 yuan to 700 yuan, which is roughly $55 to $95.

The most significant jump appears to involve the 2025 Redmi Book Pro 16. The laptop was reportedly priced at 4,699 yuan on September 15, but by the following day, its price had climbed to 5,399 yuan. That marks a 700 yuan increase in just 24 hours.

Other models also saw notable changes. The 2025 Redmi Book Pro 14 reportedly rose from 6,799 yuan to 7,299 yuan, while the 2026 Redmi Book Pro 14 increased from 7,199 yuan to 7,699 yuan. The 2026 Redmi Book Pro 16 also moved up from 7,399 yuan to 7,899 yuan. Each of these three models became 500 yuan more expensive, equivalent to about $68.

The Xiaomi Book Pro 14, along with the 2026 Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16, is also believed to be part of the latest round of price changes. However, full before-and-after pricing details for these models have not yet been reported.

Xiaomi has not officially announced the laptop price increases or provided a reason for the adjustments. For now, the cause remains unclear. One likely explanation is the rising cost of key hardware components, including memory and other internal parts used in modern laptops. Component price fluctuations often affect retail pricing, especially for slim productivity notebooks and high-performance laptop models.

At this stage, it is unknown whether Xiaomi plans to introduce similar price increases in other markets. However, the specific Redmi Book and Xiaomi Book models mentioned are not officially sold in regions such as Europe or the United States. Even so, buyers who purchase these laptops through import sellers may still feel the impact, as higher retail prices in China could lead to increased import pricing.

The move comes at a time when laptop buyers are paying close attention to value, performance, and upgrade cycles. Xiaomi and Redmi laptops are often popular among users looking for premium designs, strong specifications, and competitive prices. A sudden price increase could make some models less attractive, especially if competing laptops from other brands remain at lower price points.

For now, customers in China considering a Redmi Book Pro or Xiaomi Book Pro model may need to act carefully and compare prices across retailers. If the reported increases remain in place, Xiaomi’s laptop lineup could become more expensive just as new 2026 models begin gaining attention.
