Vivo X500 Pro Max Leak Reveals Global Pricing, Storage Variants, and Zeiss Camera Colors as Flagship Costs Rise

Vivo X500 Pro Max and X500 Pro global pricing leak points to a major Europe price hike

Vivo’s next global flagship launch could be an expensive one for European buyers. After debuting in China on September 21 alongside the standard Vivo X500, the Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max are now expected to arrive in Europe on October 27. However, early pricing details suggest that Vivo’s latest Zeiss camera phones may cost significantly more than last year’s models.

According to a fresh leak, the regular Vivo X500 may not launch globally at all. Instead, Europe is expected to receive only two official models: the compact 6.36-inch Vivo X500 Pro and the larger 6.85-inch Vivo X500 Pro Max. That would position the series as a premium-only lineup outside China, with no lower-cost base model for buyers who want a more affordable entry point.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to be the true successor to last year’s Vivo X300 Pro. In Europe, it is tipped to launch with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for €1,799, which is roughly $2,017. That is a steep increase over the previous generation, especially considering that the Vivo X300 Pro launched at €1,399 and offered 16 GB of RAM.

The leaked European colors for the Vivo X500 Pro Max are Moonlight Black and Starry Gray. Buyers hoping for the brighter white or orange versions may need to look at import options, as those colors are not currently expected to be part of the official European release.

There may also be a special camera kit bundle for the Vivo X500 Pro Max. The bundle is reportedly priced at €1,999, or around $2,241, pushing the package into ultra-premium smartphone territory. At that level, the device would be competing not only with other Android flagships but also with top-tier camera-focused phones and premium foldables.

The smaller Vivo X500 Pro is also expected to see a high European price. The leak claims it will arrive in a single configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for €1,399, or around $1,568. Color options are said to include Moonlight Black and Sunny White.

While there is no exact predecessor for the Vivo X500 Pro in Europe, the closest comparison is the similarly sized Vivo X300, which launched at €1,049. That makes the rumored X500 Pro price a major jump, even if the new model offers a stronger flagship camera system and higher-end hardware.

One reason for the price increase may be rising memory costs, which have already affected smartphone pricing in China. Still, the rumored European increase appears much larger than the jump seen in Vivo’s home market. Import prices were already expected to rise, but the leaked official European prices suggest buyers may feel the difference even more sharply.

There may be some relief at launch. Vivo has reportedly prepared a launch discount for early buyers, with registration offering a €120 saving. While that helps reduce the initial price, it does not fully offset the much larger year-over-year increase, especially for customers comparing the X500 Pro Max with last year’s X300 Pro.

It is also worth noting that global pricing may vary widely by region. Markets such as India and other parts of Asia could receive different configurations, different color choices, or more competitive pricing than Europe. For now, the leaked details appear to apply specifically to the European launch.

If the leak is accurate, the Vivo X500 Pro Max will be one of Vivo’s most expensive global camera flagships to date. The combination of Zeiss-branded imaging, large storage, premium design, and a possible camera kit could appeal to mobile photography fans, but the higher pricing may make the decision tougher for buyers upgrading from the previous generation.

The official Vivo X500 series global launch is expected on October 27, when final prices, storage options, colors, and launch offers should be confirmed.
