Vivo Pad FE Moves Closer to Global Launch After New Certification Appears
Vivo appears to be preparing a new tablet for international markets, as a device identified by the model number VP2601 has been spotted in the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority database. The listing confirms that the upcoming device is a Wi-Fi-only tablet and links the model number to the Vivo Pad FE name.
This is not the first time VP2601 has appeared in a certification database. The same model number was previously seen in the Eurasian Economic Commission database, suggesting that Vivo may be getting ready to launch the tablet across multiple regions. While these listings do not reveal full specifications, they strongly indicate that the Vivo Pad FE is moving through the required approval stages before a wider release.
Another certification from TÜV Rheinland Japan points to 15W wired charging support for the Vivo Pad FE. That detail may offer an early clue about the tablet’s positioning, suggesting it could be an affordable or mid-range device rather than a high-end flagship tablet.
There is also speculation that the Vivo Pad FE could be related to the Vivo Pad SE, which was introduced in China in April 2025. However, Vivo has not confirmed whether the Pad FE is a rebranded version of that model or a completely separate tablet designed for global markets.
If the Vivo Pad FE is based on the Pad SE, it may feature a large 12.3-inch LCD display with a 2,464 × 1,600 pixel resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The China-only Pad SE also comes with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, an 8,500mAh battery, and 15W charging support. Its entry-level configuration includes 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, with pricing in China starting at CNY 1,399, or around $209.
For now, Vivo has not announced an official launch date for the Vivo Pad FE. Still, its appearance in multiple certification databases suggests that the tablet could be introduced outside China soon. If Vivo prices it competitively, the Pad FE could become an appealing choice for users looking for a large-screen Android tablet for streaming, browsing, online classes, and everyday productivity.
