Vivo Pad 5c launches with 12.1-inch 144Hz display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, and 10,000mAh battery
Vivo has expanded its Pad 5 tablet lineup in China with the launch of the Vivo Pad 5c, a new mid-range Android tablet aimed at users who want a large display, strong performance, and productivity features without stepping into premium tablet pricing.
The Vivo Pad 5c joins the existing Vivo Pad 5 and Vivo Pad 5 Pro, giving buyers another option in the company’s growing tablet portfolio. With a high-refresh-rate screen, Snapdragon 8-series processor, large battery, and stylus support, the Pad 5c looks positioned for entertainment, multitasking, note-taking, gaming, and everyday work.
The Vivo Pad 5c features a 12.1-inch display with a sharp 2.8K resolution. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, animations, gaming, and stylus input feel smoother than on standard 60Hz tablets. The screen can also reach up to 900 nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for indoor use and brighter environments.
Powering the tablet is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This octa-core processor is built on a 4nm process and is designed to deliver flagship-level performance in more affordable devices. The chip is capable of handling demanding apps, multitasking, high-resolution media playback, and gaming. Vivo has also added a large 32,200mm² vapor chamber cooling system, which should help keep temperatures under control during longer gaming sessions or heavy workloads.
Battery life is another major highlight of the Vivo Pad 5c. The tablet comes with a 10,000mAh battery, giving it enough capacity for extended video streaming, productivity, studying, or casual gaming. It supports 44W fast charging, allowing users to recharge the device more quickly when needed.
Despite the large battery and screen, the Vivo Pad 5c keeps a fairly slim profile. It measures 6.62mm in thickness and weighs 584 grams. That makes it portable enough for students, office users, and travelers who want a large-screen tablet without carrying a bulky device.
For cameras, the Vivo Pad 5c includes an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. While tablets are not usually designed around photography, these cameras should be enough for video calls, online classes, document scanning, and basic image capture.
Connectivity options include WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. These features help provide faster wireless performance, lower latency, and improved compatibility with modern accessories.

The Vivo Pad 5c is available in three color options: blue, gray, and green. Pricing in China starts at CNY 2,699, which is approximately $397, for the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at CNY 2,999, or around $441. The higher-end 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs CNY 3,499, roughly $514.
Vivo also offers a closely related iQoo Pad 5c in China. It shares the same main specifications and pricing as the Vivo Pad 5c, but comes in fewer color choices, with gray and silver options available.
