Motorola’s next foldable phones are getting closer to launch, and fresh regulatory approvals strongly suggest the company is preparing a wider international rollout for the Razr 70 lineup.
One of the biggest clues comes from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), which has now cleared the Motorola Razr 70 for sale across the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). In the smartphone world, EEC certification is a common pre-launch step and often points to an official release not only within EEU countries, but also across Europe and additional markets shortly after.
Momentum doesn’t stop there. Motorola has also taken steps to certify its new foldables in the United Arab Emirates through the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA). Notably, the Razr 70 Ultra appeared in the UAE’s certification records a few days before the standard Razr 70, strengthening expectations that both models are being lined up for the same launch window.
With multiple certifications now in place across key regions, the most likely scenario is a simultaneous debut for the Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra sometime this spring. Early expectations point to major upgrades as well, with the Razr 70 series rumored to deliver noticeable design refinements and meaningful performance improvements compared to the previous generation.
For anyone tracking the best upcoming foldable phones of 2026, these approvals are a strong sign that Motorola’s next Razr models are nearly ready to go global.
