Amazfit Balance 2 owners have a fresh software update to look forward to, as Zepp Health has started rolling out firmware version 3.39.0.4. This update marks the first Amazfit Balance 2 firmware release of 2026, following the December 2025 update that introduced new Biocharge-related features.
According to information shared by Zepp Health on Discord and echoed by users in the community, firmware 3.39.0.4 brings a mix of new features and practical refinements aimed at workouts, navigation, and everyday usability.
One of the headline additions is Exercise Sound Cue, a new function that delivers reminders through the smartwatch speaker or via connected headphones. This can be especially useful during training sessions when you want alerts or prompts without constantly checking the display.
Another major upgrade is Route Planning. With this feature, Amazfit Balance 2 users can create and plan routes directly on the watch or in the companion app, making it more convenient to map out runs, walks, or cycling courses on the go.
The update also boosts compatibility for users who pair the watch with the Helio Strap. With firmware 3.39.0.4, the Helio Strap can now record heart rate data during swimming workouts, adding a helpful option for athletes who want more flexibility in how they track performance in the water.
Music controls are getting attention too. The Balance 2’s Music app now makes it easier to switch between third-party audio sources, which should reduce friction for users who regularly move between different listening apps or devices.
Beyond new features, firmware version 3.39.0.4 includes a set of improvements designed to create a smoother experience overall.
