Urban Jungle’s New Ginza 1.0 Trekking E-Bike Boasts Mid-Mounted Motor and Belt Drive

Urban Jungle, a Belgium-based e-bike brand, is introducing its lineup of electric bikes, prominently featuring the Ginza 1.0 trekking e-bike. This new model was showcased at the Velofollies bike exhibition alongside its siblings, the Barrio 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0. Designed for versatility, the Ginza 1.0 is equipped with a mid-mounted Bosch Performance Line motor and a robust 625Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, catering to those with a spirit for adventure.

The Ginza 1.0 is engineered to deliver comfort over various terrains, thanks to an SR Suntour XCR32 suspension fork and versatile Schwalbe All Grounder 60-584 tires, that can handle the transition from city pavements to rougher trails seamlessly. Making your ride smoother and maintenance a breeze, the bike also incorporates a Gates belt drive and operates on a 5-speed transmission system.

Safety and convenience features include Shimano MT400 brakes for reliable stopping power, a Shimano Nexus geared hub for easy shifting, and a set of lights at both the front and rear to ensure visibility. To keep you clean and dry, Buchel Hero Air Alloy mudguards are in place, while the Racktime Boostit 2.0 rack enables the transport of your essentials or luggage.

Riders will appreciate the centrally-mounted Bosch Purion 200 display that provides essential ride metrics such as speed and battery life, enhancing the overall user experience. While information on the e-bike’s weight has not been disclosed, its range of features suggests a focus on reliability and user-friendliness.

Urban Jungle is set to release the Ginza 1.0 in bike shops across Belgium in March, with the price yet to be announced. Following its launch, there are plans for availability to expand to other countries, such as the Netherlands, France, and Germany, though the dates for these releases have not been specified yet.
