Upgraded Livall PikaBoost 2 e-bike conversion kit now crowdfunding

## Livall Launches Crowdfunding Campaign for PikaBoost 2 E-bike Kit

Livall, a notable name in the cycling industry, has initiated a crowdfunding effort on Indiegogo for its latest innovation, the PikaBoost 2 e-bike conversion kit. With more than 200 supporters rallying behind the product, the campaign has successfully surpassed the initial target of $5,000, amassing over $80,000 in funding. This is a follow-up to the company’s previous successful Kickstarter campaign for the original PikaBoost in 2022.

The PikaBoost 2 is touted as a highly compatible e-bike kit that can be fitted onto a wide range of bicycle models spanning wheel sizes from 14 to 29 inches. It boasts a quick installation process of just one minute, thanks to a specific tool designed to minimize theft risks.

The kit features a powerful 500W motor equipped with AAR 2.0 technology, offering pedal assistance up to 32 kph (roughly 20 mph), which is a significant improvement over the 25 kph (about 16 mph) top speed provided by its predecessor. Riders can choose from four driving modes: Power Assist, Cruise, Workout, and Eco, to tailor their riding experience to their needs.

Notably, the PikaBoost 2 delivers a much longer assistance range. The included 158Wh lithium-ion battery allows for an impressive 96 km (approximately 59 miles) ride, which far exceeds the 30 km (around 18 miles) range of the older version. The battery can be fully charged in roughly three hours using a USB-C cable.

Additional features that enhance the PikaBoost 2 include a regenerative braking system, a rear LED light, and critical safety measures such as fall and slip detection, along with an intelligent e-brake system. To provide further convenience, the settings can be adjusted via a dedicated app, compatible with iOS and Android devices, connected through Bluetooth.

The standard package comprises the PikaBoost 2 unit, which weighs about 3 kg (approximately 6.6 lbs), a remote controller, mudguards, the 158Wh battery pack, and a USB-C charging cable, weighing around 1 kg (about 2.2 lbs). For those seeking extended range, the Endurance Bundle also includes a larger 220Wh battery pack, a fast charging cable, and additional tires.

Regarding costs, the PikaBoost 2 Starter Kit is being offered to backers at a promotional price of $279, which is a 24% discount off the recommended retail price (RRP). The Endourage Bundle presents a saving of 31%, priced at $388 against the prospective market price. The company plans to distribute the kits globally to backers in September and October.

While the crowdfunding campaign shows strong support, it is essential to remember that backing a product via platforms such as Indiegogo does not always guarantee product delivery. Consumers should consider this inherent risk when participating in crowdfunding initiatives. Nevertheless, the PikaBoost 2 e-bike conversion kit represents an exciting development for cycling enthusiasts looking to upgrade their traditional bikes into electric versions effortlessly.
