Unlock FSD with Tesla Referral Credits: New Subscription Bundles Available

Tesla’s referral credit bonuses, which could go up to $2,000 per vehicle purchase, have now become even more appealing with the option to use them for Full Self-Driving (FSD) subscriptions. This long-awaited feature is now accessible to Tesla enthusiasts, letting them cover up to 10 months of the FSD subscription, typically priced at $99 per month, using their earned Tesla Credits.

Tesla has updated its Refer and Earn program, allowing credits to be used not just for the FSD subscription but for a range of products and services. These include car supercharging sessions, new car purchases, service appointment balances, Tesla Shop items, and over-the-air upgrades. To activate this option, users can select the desired number of FSD months they wish to pay for and choose “Tesla Credits” as their payment mode.

However, there’s a catch—Tesla sets a cap on these transactions, allowing a maximum of ten months’ worth of FSD subscriptions to be paid using credits. Beyond that, alternate payment means must be used, and it remains uncertain if further FSD service purchases with referral credits will be permitted after this initial period runs out.

Tesla’s recently revised referral program, which has increased some credit bonuses, adds an interesting twist to this scenario. Despite this generous revamping, the limitation on FSD subscription months somewhat limits the potential uses of the referral credits, even as the program allows up to 10 referrals annually, potentially amassing a significant credit return for dedicated users.

In essence, Tesla’s move to allow referral credits to cover FSD subscriptions opens up new possibilities for Tesla owners, letting them maximize the benefits earned from referrals and enjoy a seamless self-driving experience without additional out-of-pocket expenses—at least for a while.
