Raymon Tarok Ultra 2027 brings 150 Nm DJI power to a lightweight full-suspension e-MTB

Raymon is stepping into the high-performance electric mountain bike scene with the Tarok Ultra 2027, a full-suspension e-MTB built for riders who want serious climbing power, confident downhill control, and a surprisingly manageable overall weight.

At the heart of the Raymon Tarok Ultra is the DJI Avinox M2S mid-drive motor, one of the most powerful e-bike drive systems currently appearing in new product launches. The motor can deliver up to 150 Nm of torque and a peak output of 1,500 W, giving the Tarok Ultra the kind of punch needed for steep climbs, technical trails, and demanding off-road terrain. To meet German e-bike regulations, the continuous rated power is limited to 250 W.

Power comes from an integrated 700 Wh battery, designed to support longer trail sessions and extended mountain rides. The battery is built into the frame and is not intended for quick removal, giving the bike a clean, streamlined look while helping protect the power unit during rough off-road use.

Despite its powerful motor and large battery, the Raymon Tarok Ultra keeps its weight relatively low at 22 kg, or around 48.5 lbs. That is made possible in part by its carbon-fiber frame, which helps balance durability, stiffness, and weight savings. For a full-suspension electric mountain bike with this level of torque, the weight figure is especially notable.

The suspension setup is aimed at aggressive trail and enduro-style riding. Up front, the Tarok Ultra uses a RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork with 160 mm of travel, while the rear is equipped with a RockShox Super Deluxe shock offering 150 mm of travel. This combination should provide enough cushioning and control for rocky descents, root-heavy trails, and fast technical sections.

Raymon has also equipped the bike with a 12-speed SRAM drivetrain, giving riders a wide gear range for mixed terrain. Braking is handled by Magura Gustav Elite four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, paired with large 203 mm rotors at both the front and rear. This setup is designed to deliver strong, consistent stopping power, which is essential on a powerful e-MTB built for steep climbs and fast descents.

Another key feature of the Raymon Tarok Ultra 2027 is its mullet wheel configuration. The bike uses a 29-inch front wheel for improved rollover performance on rocks, roots, and uneven surfaces, while the 27.5-inch rear wheel adds agility and makes the bike easier to maneuver through tight turns and technical trail sections. This combination has become popular among modern e-MTB riders who want stability without sacrificing playfulness.

The Raymon Tarok Ultra is currently listed in four frame sizes and carries a price of €7,999. As with many premium mountain bikes, pedals are not included, allowing riders to choose their preferred clipless or flat pedal setup.
