Timex Expedition Ridge Digital Chronograph Expands Globally With Sleek Negative Display

Timex Expedition Ridge TW4B34500 Digital Watch Arrives in the UK With Rugged Design and Indiglo Backlight

Timex has expanded the availability of its Expedition Ridge TW4B34500 digital watch, bringing the rugged outdoor-inspired model to the UK market. The watch is now listed on the official Timex UK store for £95 and is available to order now.

Although it carries a “New” label in the UK, the Expedition Ridge TW4B34500 is not an entirely new release globally. The model has already been available in the United States since February 2026 and has also appeared through retailers in the Philippines. What is new is its wider rollout, giving UK buyers access to this particular digital version of the Expedition Ridge lineup.

The TW4B34500 stands apart from other Expedition Ridge watches already sold in Britain. Existing UK models such as the TW4B32000, TW4B32100, and TW4B32200 are analog watches with 43 mm metal cases, crown protectors, mineral glass, compass-style decorative markings, and 50 m water resistance. The TW4B34500 takes a very different approach, offering a fully digital display, a lighter resin-based build, and a stronger 100 m water resistance rating.

The watch features a 43 mm case with a height of 13 mm, giving it a bold but wearable profile. Timex describes the case as resin, while its technical details specify PC+GF, meaning glass-fibre-reinforced polycarbonate. This material is molded into a one-piece matte black case, designed to feel tough while keeping weight low. At 53.34 g, it should sit comfortably on the wrist without feeling overly heavy.

Instead of a traditional positive LCD, the Expedition Ridge TW4B34500 uses a negative digital display, with light-colored digits shown against a dark background. This gives the watch a more modern, tactical look that fits well with its outdoor styling. For low-light use, Timex includes its well-known Indiglo backlight, which illuminates the entire display for better readability at night or in dim conditions.

Functionality is straightforward and practical. The watch includes a chronograph for timing activities, an alarm for daily reminders, and a countdown timer. These features make it suitable for workouts, hiking, travel, or everyday use, especially for buyers who want a simple digital watch rather than a smartwatch.

The Expedition Ridge TW4B34500 comes fitted with a green silicone strap and buckle, adding contrast to the matte black case. A US retail listing describes the strap as a two-piece quick-release design, which would allow easier strap swaps without tools, though Timex’s UK listing does not confirm that detail. The watch uses an acrylic crystal rather than mineral glass, which helps keep the design lightweight but may be more prone to scratches over time.

One of the key upgrades over the analog Expedition Ridge models is water resistance. The digital TW4B34500 is rated to 100 m, making it more suitable for swimming, outdoor activities, and general exposure to water. Timex has not listed an official battery life for the watch.

With its £95 UK price, digital feature set, rugged styling, Indiglo backlight, and 100 m water resistance, the Timex Expedition Ridge TW4B34500 is positioned as an affordable outdoor digital watch for buyers who want durability and useful everyday functions without moving into smartwatch territory.
