Konami and Netmarble Set the Stage for Tokyo Game Show 2026 With Silent Hill, Castlevania, Suikoden, and Shangri-La Frontier
Tokyo Game Show 2026 is shaping up to be a major event for fans of Japanese games, with Konami and Netmarble confirming packed lineups filled with playable demos, live stage events, and special fan experiences. The show takes place from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, and both publishers are preparing to spotlight some of their biggest upcoming titles.
Konami’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 presence will center on three standout games: Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Suikoden Star Leap. Each title will receive dedicated stage programming, giving fans a closer look at gameplay, story details, and development insights.
The company will begin its stage schedule with a livestream for Suikoden Star Leap. IP producer Rui Naito, producer Shinya Fujimatsu, and director Yoshiki Takeyama are expected to discuss the game’s party-based combat system and explain how its story ties into the original Suikoden. The RPG is already available on mobile in Japan, with a wider release planned for PC and mobile worldwide.
Castlevania fans will also have plenty to look forward to. Konami will host a live gameplay showcase for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, featuring producer Tsutomu Taniguchi alongside voice actors Ryotaro Okiayu, who plays Trevor Belmont, and Satoshi Tsuruoka, who voices Death. The 2D action-adventure game is scheduled to launch on October 15 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
Silent Hill: Townfall will receive its own special stage presentation, led by series producer Motoi Okamoto. The event will also include live gameplay commentary from popular creator Gatchman, giving attendees and viewers a deeper look at the horror title’s atmosphere and mechanics.
Konami is also planning an immersive theater experience based on Silent Hill: Townfall for visitors at the show. Participants will receive a replica of protagonist Simon’s wristband, while fans who pre-order the game at the venue can receive an exclusive T-shirt, available while supplies last.
Netmarble is bringing its own major showcase to Tokyo Game Show 2026, led by the first public playable demo of Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi. Based on the popular manga and anime franchise, the action RPG follows Rakuro Hizutome, better known as Sunraku, and his companion Emul as they battle enormous enemies inside the game’s virtual world.
The demo will highlight tag-team combat, character swapping, and chained attacks, all built around a one-handed control system designed to keep battles fast and accessible. Alongside Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, Netmarble will also offer playable versions of Solo Leveling: KARMA and Pearl in Blue.
A special Shangri-La Frontier stage event is scheduled for September 20, featuring anime voice cast members Yuma Uchida, Rina Hidaka, and Yuka Terasaki, who play Sunraku, Emul, and Akitsu Akane. The trio will try the demo live on stage and share their impressions with fans.
Netmarble’s booth will also include daily cosplay shows beginning September 18, with performers dressed as Sunraku, Oikatzo, and Arthur Pencilgon. Popular cosplayer Enako is set to appear as a special guest during the opening media presentation on September 17.
With Silent Hill: Townfall, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Suikoden Star Leap, and Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi all confirmed for the event, Tokyo Game Show 2026 is already becoming one of the year’s most exciting destinations for RPG, horror, and action-game fans. Both Konami and Netmarble appear ready to deliver a strong mix of hands-on demos, live gameplay, developer talks, and fan-focused experiences.
