The Meadow Debuts: A Pocket-Sized Smartphone That Ditches Browsing, Social Media, and Email

The Meadow is aiming to stand out in a world of oversized phones and constant notifications by going in the opposite direction: ultra-compact, simple hardware, and a more intentional mobile experience. Built around a small 3-inch touchscreen, it’s designed for people who want key smartphone features without carrying a large device everywhere.

Even though the phone keeps its specs modest, it still includes a capable camera setup for everyday use. On the back, The Meadow features a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera for quick snapshots and wider scenes, making it easier to capture group moments and travel shots without needing to step far back.

Under the hood, the focus remains on practicality rather than chasing flagship performance. The Meadow comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which should be enough for essential apps, photos, and daily usage. The company hasn’t shared which processor powers the device, but it’s positioning the phone as a streamlined option rather than a performance-focused one. Battery life is estimated at one to two days, which should help it fit into a lower-distraction lifestyle where you’re not constantly looking for a charger.

Pre-orders are already open, with shipping expected to start in June 2026. Early buyers can reserve The Meadow for $399, while the regular retail price is set at $449. Mobile internet access requires a subscription priced at $120 per year, though the first nine months are included with the purchase. At launch, The Meadow will only be available to customers in the United States.
