The Guild: Europa 1410 Early Access Delayed to September 2026 With New Content Planned for Launch
THQ Nordic and Ashborne Games have confirmed that The Guild: Europa 1410 will no longer launch in Early Access on July 16. The upcoming medieval economic simulation and strategy game is now scheduled to arrive in September 2026 for Windows PC via Steam.
The delay follows the game’s strong showing during Steam Next Fest, where its demo became one of the most played among thousands of available titles. According to the development team, player response played a major role in the decision to push the release window back. The extra time will allow the studio to improve the Early Access version and include content that was originally planned for a post-launch update.
The Guild: Europa 1410 invites players to build a business, grow influence, manage a family dynasty, and navigate the complex social, political, and economic systems of medieval Europe. With its mix of strategy, life simulation, trade, and dynasty management, the game aims to appeal to fans of deep management experiences and long-term progression.
Ashborne Games thanked players who tried the demo and shared feedback, noting that thousands of players offered detailed comments that helped shape the team’s plans. The studio said this feedback gave them a clearer understanding of what players expect from The Guild: Europa 1410 as it moves toward Early Access.
Rather than launching in July and adding the first major content update in September, the developers will now include that planned update directly in the initial Early Access release. The September build will also feature additional improvements designed to make the game more polished and accessible from day one.
The updated Early Access launch version is expected to include a new map that will serve as a tutorial area, helping new players learn the core systems more smoothly. The team is also working on user interface improvements to create a more cohesive and immersive experience, including automation options for repeated business tasks.
Players can also expect enhanced animations that better show workers and citizens carrying out activities across the city. These visual upgrades are intended to make the medieval world feel more alive and dynamic as businesses grow and families establish their legacy.
Language support is also being expanded for the September version. Some languages will include text support, while others will feature voice-over support as well, making the game more accessible to a wider audience.
The developers emphasized that the delay does not change the broader roadmap for The Guild: Europa 1410. Features such as multiplayer, additional maps, more professions, and expanded systems for economy, politics, and dynasty progression are still planned after the Early Access launch. More details about the roadmap will be shared before release.
Before the September Early Access launch, the demo is also expected to receive an update that will give players a preview of several upcoming improvements. This should offer fans a chance to test some of the changes ahead of the full Early Access release.
While the delay may be disappointing for players eager to begin building their medieval empire, the decision appears focused on delivering a stronger launch version. With added content, better onboarding, improved automation, and a more refined presentation, The Guild: Europa 1410 is now aiming to make a bigger impression when it enters Early Access in September 2026.
