Ubisoft has officially locked in a worldwide release date for The Division Resurgence. The free-to-play mobile shooter set in Tom Clancy’s The Division universe launches March 31 on iPhone and Android, turning what has been a long run of tests and previews into a full global rollout.
Built specifically for mobile while aiming to feel like a true Division experience, The Division Resurgence is designed around a shared open world and a story that fits within the series’ canon. Players can jump in solo or team up in co-op, with Ubisoft promising familiar pillars that fans associate with the franchise rather than a cut-down spin-off. That includes game modes and systems such as the Dark Zone and Specializations, features that have helped define The Division’s risk-reward loops and build variety across playstyles.
The launch date was revealed during Ubisoft’s 10th anniversary showcase for The Division, where the company also discussed broader franchise plans. Alongside Resurgence’s release announcement, Ubisoft highlighted upcoming beats for The Division 2, including an Anniversary Season and a Year 8 roadmap. The timing positions Resurgence as a key part of the franchise’s anniversary push, giving longtime fans and curious newcomers something new to play at the end of the month.
Ubisoft is also encouraging players to engage across both games with cross-game rewards. According to the company, Division 2 players will be able to unlock rewards in The Division Resurgence, while trying Resurgence can also grant items back in The Division 2, including a Level 40 boost. It’s a smart way to connect the mobile launch with the established PC and console audience, especially for players who want a head start or extra incentives.
For mobile players, the biggest takeaway is clarity. After years of staggered reveals, regional tests, and waiting for a firm window, March 31 is now the confirmed worldwide release date. Pre-registration is already available on iOS and Android storefronts, making it easy for interested players to be ready as soon as the servers go live.
