Tessan Aero 5000 Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank Debuts with Safer Semi-Solid Battery Tech
Tessan has introduced the Aero 5000, a new ultra-thin magnetic power bank designed for MagSafe-compatible smartphones, including recent Apple iPhone models. Built for users who want portable charging without adding noticeable bulk, the Aero 5000 combines a slim profile, magnetic attachment, wireless charging, and a safety-focused battery design.
One of the biggest highlights of the Tessan Aero 5000 is its incredibly thin body. Measuring just 103 × 69.8 × 6.9 mm, or about 4.06 × 2.75 × 0.27 inches, the power bank is designed to sit neatly on the back of a smartphone. Its compact shape makes it easier to carry in a pocket, bag, or travel pouch while still providing extra battery life when needed.
The power bank uses a titanium alloy cover, giving it a premium feel while improving durability and scratch resistance. This makes the Aero 5000 better suited for daily use, especially for people who frequently charge on the move. The rear section is made from PC+ABS material, which allows wireless charging to work properly while maintaining a lightweight design.
Inside, Tessan has equipped the Aero 5000 with what it calls a SolidSafe battery. Unlike conventional lithium batteries that rely on liquid electrolyte, this model uses a pure cobalt semi-solid-state battery. The semi-solid-state electrolyte is designed to be less likely to ignite if the battery is punctured or damaged, offering an added layer of protection for everyday carrying and travel.
Battery safety has become a growing concern, especially as more people carry power banks on flights, in backpacks, and in pockets. By reducing the use of traditional liquid electrolyte, Tessan aims to lower the risk of fire and improve confidence for users who depend on portable chargers throughout the day.
For charging performance, the Aero 5000 supports up to 15W wireless charging when attached magnetically to a compatible phone. It also delivers up to 20W wired charging through its cable connection, giving users a faster option when they need a quick top-up. The built-in battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, rated at 3.85V and 19.25Wh, making it suitable for extending a phone’s battery life during commuting, travel, workdays, or outdoor use.
The magnetic design makes the Aero 5000 especially convenient for iPhone users with MagSafe support. Instead of dealing with cables while walking or working, users can simply snap the power bank onto the back of the phone and continue using the device while it charges. Its slim construction also helps reduce the bulky feel often associated with magnetic power banks.
The Tessan Aero 5000 is currently available for pre-order at a price of $69, with shipping expected to begin in October 2026. For users looking for a lightweight, travel-friendly magnetic power bank with enhanced battery safety features, the Aero 5000 could be an appealing option in the growing market for ultra-slim portable chargers.
