Glowstick Entertainment has officially announced that Super Dark Deception will be coming to various consoles, starting with its inaugural chapter. The game is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 through their respective digital storefronts. A smartphone version is expected to be released later on.
Originally a retro reimagining of the successful horror game Dark Deception, Super Dark Deception has been available for Windows PC via Steam since July 2024.
Super Dark Deception offers a nostalgic experience with its hand-drawn 2D pixel art that echoes the classic 16-bit SNES RPG visuals. The game employs a unique power system where players can earn XP, unlock abilities, and increase their odds of survival against terrifying creatures. Fast-paced and intense, players must run swiftly to evade enemies that can be stunned but not killed. Adding to the challenge, the mazes themselves are filled with traps and other dangers. Each level introduces unique enemies with distinct AI, requiring players to continuously adapt their strategies to persevere.
This initial release includes the first chapter with four levels, and all future DLC chapters are included in the game’s original price. Once purchased, additional content like CH2 and CH3 DLC will be installed for free upon their release.
