Japanese Fanless Mini PC LNE6412 Arrives With Intel Celeron J6412, Up to 32 GB RAM, and Plenty of Ports
Links International has introduced the LNE6412, a compact fanless mini PC designed for industrial, business, and everyday low-power computing environments. Built around Intel’s Celeron J6412 processor, this small desktop is not aimed at high-performance users, but it could be a practical choice for digital signage, office terminals, POS systems, media playback, embedded systems, and other always-on tasks where silence, reliability, and connectivity matter more than raw speed.
The biggest highlight of the LNE6412 is its completely fanless design. Instead of using an internal fan, the system relies on passive cooling to manage heat. That makes it silent during operation, which is useful for quiet workspaces, retail counters, kiosks, reception areas, and industrial installations where dust buildup and fan failure can become long-term concerns.
At the heart of the mini PC is the Intel Celeron J6412, a quad-core “Elkhart Lake” processor with a 10-watt power rating. The chip runs at a 2.0 GHz base clock and can boost up to 2.6 GHz. Performance is modest by modern desktop standards, so this is not a machine for demanding creative workloads, gaming, or heavy multitasking. However, for lightweight computing needs such as web-based applications, document editing, video output, signage control, and simple server-style duties, the processor should be sufficient.
The system comes with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and 128 GB of storage in its base configuration. Users who need more memory can upgrade the RAM to 32 GB, giving the mini PC more room for multitasking or specialized business software. Storage expansion is also supported through an M.2 2280 slot, which should make it easier to add a larger SSD depending on the deployment needs.
Connectivity is another strong point of the LNE6412. The mini PC includes four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, two HDMI ports with support for up to 4K at 60 Hz, VGA output, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. This port selection makes it flexible for multi-display setups, legacy monitors, network-reliant installations, barcode scanners, payment terminals, and other peripherals commonly used in business and industrial environments.
The compact chassis measures 129 x 157 x 40 mm, or roughly 5 x 6.1 x 1.57 inches. Its small footprint allows it to fit easily behind a display, inside a cabinet, or on a desk with limited space. VESA mounting support adds more installation flexibility, especially for digital signage and kiosk-style setups.
Pricing starts at ¥98,000, which is approximately $620, for the version without a pre-installed operating system. Availability outside Japan has not been clearly confirmed, so international buyers may need to rely on import options if they want to purchase the device.
Overall, the LNE6412 is a quiet, compact, and connectivity-focused fanless mini PC built for practical workloads rather than performance-heavy tasks. Its Intel Celeron J6412 processor keeps power consumption low, while the upgradeable RAM, M.2 storage support, dual Ethernet, and wide range of display and USB ports make it a useful option for businesses, industrial users, and anyone looking for a silent mini PC for basic computing needs. Users who need stronger CPU performance may want to consider more powerful fanless mini PC alternatives, but for low-power deployments, the LNE6412 offers a balanced mix of silence, expandability, and compact design.
