Samsung is getting ready to turn heads at CES 2026 with a gaming monitor that doesn’t look—or behave—like most displays on the market. The newly announced Odyssey OLED 3D G90XH combines a razor-sharp 6K resolution with a fast 165Hz refresh rate, and its biggest party trick is the ability to show 3D content without requiring any glasses.
This latest model is positioned as the follow-up to Samsung’s earlier Odyssey 3D display, but it grows in a meaningful way. The panel size steps up from 27 inches to 32 inches, and the resolution jumps from 4K to full 6K. That higher pixel count should make games and creative content look exceptionally crisp, especially at closer desk viewing distances where extra detail is easier to notice.
Speed is also a major focus. Alongside the standard 165Hz refresh rate, Samsung includes a Dual Mode feature designed for high-frame-rate gameplay. In this mode, the monitor can push up to 330Hz, though it typically does so by reducing resolution. Thanks to starting at 6K, the “reduced” resolution should still be around 3008 x 1692 pixels, which is a notable advantage compared to monitors that drop from lower base resolutions.
The headline feature, however, is still glasses-free 3D. The Odyssey OLED 3D G90XH uses a camera-based eye-tracking system to adjust the 3D image to the viewer’s eyes in real time. Because the 3D effect is tuned to a specific viewing position, it’s intended for a single user at a time. The payoff is a more convincing 3D presentation that can remain effective even if you shift slightly or view the screen from a mild angle.
Samsung is also working with game developers to ensure the 3D experience is tailored to specific titles rather than treated as a generic effect. Games mentioned as being optimized for the display include The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture, and Stellar Blade, signaling that Samsung is aiming this monitor directly at players who want a more immersive, depth-driven experience.
Samsung plans to share more details at CES 2026, including full specifications, pricing, and an exact release window. For now, the Odyssey OLED 3D G90XH stands out as a rare mix of ultra-high resolution, high refresh rate gaming performance, and next-gen glasses-free 3D—an ambitious combination that could appeal to enthusiasts looking for something genuinely different in a premium gaming monitor.
