Ride1Up has unveiled its newest electric bike, the Revv1 Evo, and it’s arriving with a headline-grabbing claim: it’s being marketed as the world’s first e-bike powered by a semi-solid-state battery. For riders who care about battery longevity, cold-weather performance, and real-world range, this launch puts the spotlight on a part of e-bikes that matters just as much as speed and styling.
At the center of the Revv1 Evo is a new 52V 20Ah battery (about 1 kWh). Ride1Up says the pack is built for the long haul, with an estimated 10-year lifespan and more than 1,200 charge cycles before it drops to 80% capacity. The company also highlights cold resistance, claiming the battery can retain around 70% capacity even at -20°C (-4°F). That’s a notable talking point for commuters and year-round riders who’ve seen traditional batteries struggle when temperatures dip.
Power comes from a 750W Bafang rear hub motor that’s rated for 100 Nm of torque, with a stated top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h). Ride1Up also positions the bike as a capable distance machine: up to 60 miles (96.5 km) of range on a single charge. Just as important for daily use, charging is claimed to take around two hours for a full top-up, helping reduce downtime between rides.
The Revv1 Evo leans into a sturdy, moto-inspired build rather than an ultralight city bike approach. It uses a step-over frame and is rated to carry up to 400 lb (181 kg). The bike rolls on wide 20 x 4-inch fat tires and uses 4-piston hydraulic brakes for stronger stopping power. Suspension is included front and rear, with 160 mm up front and 90 mm in the rear, aiming to improve comfort and control over rougher streets and uneven paths. At roughly 90 lb (40.8 kg), it’s clearly designed for stability and strength over portability.
Ride1Up rounds out the package with high-visibility lighting and commuter-friendly details. Up front, there’s a 1000-lux moto-style headlight, while the rear features integrated brake lights with turn signals. Other listed equipment includes MTB-style pedals, a 120L BMX-style chain, a controller, and an HD color display that shows key ride information such as speed, range, battery level, and more.
Pricing for the Ride1Up Revv1 Evo is set at $2,395, with shipping expected to begin in August 2026. Pre-orders are already open through Ride1Up.
