TeamGroup Breaks New Ground: JEDEC-Compliant Elite DDR5 Hits 8000 MT/s on Just 1.1V

TEAMGROUP is pushing DDR5 memory speeds even further with new ELITE PLUS DDR5 and ELITE DDR5 desktop modules that reach up to 8000 MT/s, positioning them for upcoming next-generation PC platforms where faster memory is becoming a key part of overall performance.

According to the announcement, both the ELITE PLUS DDR5 8000 MT/s and ELITE DDR5 8000 MT/s kits are built to JEDEC specifications, targeting users who want high-frequency DDR5 without stepping outside official standards. The modules are rated for 8000 MT/s at 1.1V and run at CL56-56-56-128 timings, balancing high transfer rates with low operating voltage.

The big focus here is delivering more speed while keeping power draw under control. TEAMGROUP highlights the 1.1V operating voltage as a way to reduce power consumption and support long-term system reliability, which can matter for always-on desktops, heavy daily workloads, and anyone who prefers efficient components alongside performance upgrades.

To help maintain stability at these high DDR5 speeds, the new ELITE-series modules also include DDR5 Same-Bank Refresh support and an optimized IC architecture. In practical terms, that’s designed to keep performance smooth during multitasking and improve overall system efficiency, whether you’re working, studying, or running entertainment and productivity apps side by side.

At launch, the new DDR5-8000 memory will arrive in 16GB x 2 (32GB) kits. Availability is expected in North America via Amazon, with a scheduled release window of June 2026. With these additions, TEAMGROUP is expanding its desktop DDR5 lineup to give PC builders and upgraders more high-frequency options as the market moves toward faster next-gen memory configurations.
