This allows users to utilize any standard 49mm lens filter, enabling creative visual effects like diffusion for softer images or circular polarizing filters to eliminate glare.
Purchasers can snag a free CPL filter or a DSLR-style privacy cap through Elgato’s store. Additionally, users have the flexibility to incorporate third-party macro, black mist, or star filters to further personalize their video style.
Under the hood, the Facecam 4K uses Sony’s Starvis 2 CMOS sensor and an Elgato prime lens, featuring fixed focus and an f/4.0 aperture. While the Facecam Pro’s f/2.0 aperture excels in low-light conditions, this model still delivers sharp video and supports recording at 4K 60fps or 4K 30fps with HDR for enhanced color and contrast.
