Call of Duty: Mobile is getting a stylish JRPG crossover this July, as the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5 Royal prepare to enter the battlefield.
Activision and Tencent confirmed the Call of Duty: Mobile x Persona 5 Royal collaboration during SPARK 2026 on May 27, 2026. Shortly after the reveal, the official Call of Duty: Mobile social account shared a teaser that embraced Persona 5 Royal’s unmistakable red-and-black style, complete with the dramatic flair fans expect from the Phantom Thieves.
The crossover is set to bring several beloved Persona 5 Royal characters into Call of Duty: Mobile. Based on silhouette footage shown during the SPARK 2026 presentation, the confirmed lineup includes Ren Amamiya, better known as Joker, along with Ann Takamaki as Panther, Makoto Niijima as Queen, and Sumire Yoshizawa as Violet.
The inclusion of Violet is especially notable because she appears in Persona 5 Royal, the expanded version of the original Persona 5. That detail confirms this event is specifically tied to Persona 5 Royal rather than the base release, making it even more appealing for fans of the enhanced edition.
While Activision has not yet revealed the full content lineup, operator skins for Joker, Panther, Queen, and Violet are expected to be the main attraction. The event may also include Persona-themed weapons, cosmetics, calling cards, charms, and other limited-time rewards inspired by the game’s bold visual identity.
The exact event format has not been officially confirmed. However, based on previous Call of Duty: Mobile collaborations, a dedicated event pass or themed seasonal event seems likely. Similar crossover events in the past have featured unlockable rewards, premium cosmetics, and special challenges, so players can probably expect a mix of free and paid content.
A global release has not been fully detailed yet. Activision has not confirmed whether the Persona 5 Royal collaboration will launch worldwide at the same time or arrive in selected regions first. Still, Call of Duty: Mobile crossover events typically reach global players within a short window, making July the key month for fans to watch.
Persona 5 Royal is widely considered one of the standout JRPGs of its generation. Known for its stylish art direction, memorable characters, turn-based combat, and unforgettable soundtrack, the game has built a massive global fanbase since its expanded release in 2019.
The Phantom Thieves are a strong fit for a Call of Duty: Mobile crossover because their designs are instantly recognizable. Joker’s mask, Panther’s red outfit, Queen’s armored look, and Violet’s elegant combat style all have the kind of visual impact that can stand out in a fast-paced mobile shooter.
This collaboration also shows how far Call of Duty: Mobile is willing to go beyond traditional military themes. The game has continued to expand its identity through major crossovers, limited-time events, and character-driven content. Bringing Persona 5 Royal into the mix marks one of its most unexpected and exciting partnerships yet.
For Persona fans, this is a chance to see the Phantom Thieves in a completely different genre. For Call of Duty: Mobile players, it adds a fresh wave of style, personality, and collectible content to the game. With Joker, Panther, Queen, and Violet leading the charge, the July crossover could become one of the most talked-about mobile gaming events of the year.
