Peacock Raises Subscription Prices Again: Here’s What Subscribers Will Pay
Peacock is increasing its subscription prices, making it the latest major streaming platform to raise monthly costs as competition in the streaming market continues to intensify.
The service’s cheapest ad-supported Select plan is going up from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. The ad-supported Premium plan will now cost $12.99 per month, rising from $10.99. Meanwhile, the ad-free Premium Plus plan is seeing the biggest jump, increasing from $16.99 to $19.99 per month.
For new and returning subscribers, the updated Peacock prices take effect on August 18. Existing subscribers will see the higher rates reflected on their next billing date after September 17.
Peacock said the pricing changes are intended to help the platform improve the viewer experience, stay competitive, and continue offering a wide range of original shows, live sports, movies, reality TV, news, and entertainment programming.
Customers currently on annual subscriptions or active promotional deals will not see an immediate change. Their existing rates will remain in place until their current plans or promotional offers expire.
The Peacock price increase comes as the streaming service continues adding new features and content designed to keep viewers engaged. In recent months, Peacock introduced an AI-powered vertical-video feed called Bravoverse, featuring clips from popular reality franchises such as The Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules.
The platform is also working on a mobile-friendly live sports feature that will allow fans to watch games in a vertical format. The technology uses real-time AI-driven cropping to optimize live game footage for smartphone screens, aiming to make sports streaming more convenient for mobile viewers.
Peacock has also expanded into interactive entertainment with two mystery games, Law & Order: Clue Hunter and Public Eye, both developed by AI gaming startup Wolf Games.
Another major expansion is planned for early 2027, when Peacock’s Premium plan is expected to become available to YouTube Premium subscribers in the United States through a new partnership with NBCUniversal.
Launched in 2020, Peacock recently reported its first profitable quarter. The service reached 48 million subscribers, boosted by major programming such as the NBA playoffs, FIFA World Cup coverage, and Love Island.
Like other leading streaming platforms, Peacock has been gradually raising subscription prices over the past several years. Its previous increase took effect in July 2025, when plans rose by $3. This latest adjustment marks the platform’s fourth price hike in four years, highlighting the growing cost of streaming entertainment for consumers.
