Sony has confirmed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for August 2026, and subscribers are getting three very different experiences: open-world zombie survival, cooperative exploration, and psychological horror.
The August 2026 PlayStation Plus free games will be available to claim starting August 4 and will remain available until August 31. As usual, once added to your library, the games can be played as long as you maintain an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
Leading the August lineup is Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition for PS5 and PS4. This expanded version of the popular survival action game drops players into a massive post-apocalyptic city where danger lurks across rooftops, dark interiors, and infected streets. Players take on the role of Aiden Caldwell, a skilled survivor searching for the truth about his past while navigating a brutal world shaped by rival factions, difficult choices, and terrifying infected enemies.
Dying Light 2 is known for its fast parkour movement, intense melee combat, and day-night gameplay system. During the day, players can scavenge supplies, meet survivors, and explore the city more freely. At night, the infected become far more dangerous, turning every mission into a high-risk fight for survival. For PlayStation Plus members who enjoy open-world action games, zombie games, or story-driven survival adventures, this is the biggest addition of the month.
Also joining the PlayStation Plus August 2026 lineup is Big Walk for PS5. This cooperative multiplayer adventure focuses on teamwork, communication, and exploration rather than traditional combat. Players work together across a wide open world filled with puzzles, hidden areas, environmental challenges, and strange discoveries.
Big Walk is designed for players who enjoy shared experiences with friends. Instead of relying on weapons or battles, the game encourages cooperation and creative problem-solving. It could be a strong pick for PlayStation Plus subscribers looking for a more relaxed but social multiplayer game.
The third title for August is Signalis for PS4, a highly praised psychological survival horror game with a haunting retro-futuristic style. Players control Elster, a Replika technician who wakes in a mysterious and unsettling world while searching for her missing partner.
Signalis combines classic survival horror elements with a deeply atmospheric story. Players must explore disturbing locations, solve puzzles, manage limited resources, and face nightmarish creatures. Its mix of sci-fi mystery, emotional storytelling, and old-school horror mechanics has made it a standout title among fans of the genre.
Alongside the August monthly games, PlayStation Plus members will also receive a bonus reward. Beginning August 6, subscribers can claim the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack from the PlayStation Store. The pack includes five PlayStation Network avatars featuring characters such as Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, and more.
The bonus pack also includes in-game result screen character poses for 20 fighters, including Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Peni Parker, and several other Marvel characters. For fans looking forward to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, this extra content adds another reason to check the PlayStation Store in August.
All three PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for August 2026 will be available from August 4 through August 31. Before the new lineup arrives, subscribers should make sure to claim the July 2026 PlayStation Plus games before they leave the service.
