DJI’s next vlogging camera is still officially a mystery when it comes to launch timing, but a fresh set of leaks suggests the company is much further along than it’s letting on. A leaker, Igor Bogdanov, has surfaced dozens of photos tied to the upcoming DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, showing what appears to be real-world testing with influencers already creating content ahead of release.
The images don’t just tease the Osmo Pocket 4P by itself, either. They show side-by-side comparison setups featuring three models: the Osmo Pocket 4P, the newly introduced Osmo Pocket 4, and the older Osmo Pocket 3. That strongly hints DJI is preparing comparison-focused marketing that highlights what’s new in the “Pro” model, especially for creators deciding whether it’s worth upgrading.
DJI has already confirmed the Osmo Pocket 4P exists, although the company has only teased its first “Pro” Osmo Pocket model in China so far. Even then, DJI hasn’t shared a public release date or opened orders. Leakers also haven’t pinned down an exact launch day yet, which keeps the timeline uncertain. Still, influencer testing typically happens close to launch, suggesting an announcement may not be too far away.
One of the more interesting details is that the Osmo Pocket 4P may not arrive everywhere under the same name. The leak suggests the camera could launch in the US under a different brand entirely, which would mirror strategies companies sometimes use for regional positioning, retail partnerships, or product line separation.
As for hardware, current expectations point to a more advanced camera system than previous Pocket models. The Osmo Pocket 4P is believed to feature a 1-inch primary camera along with a telephoto lens delivering 3x optical zoom. If accurate, that combination could make it especially appealing for vloggers who want better low-light performance and more framing flexibility without relying on digital zoom.
Adding to the sense that DJI is prepping a broader creator push, a Mini 5 Pro drone is also visible in some close-up shots. That could simply be part of the influencers’ gear, but it also fits with DJI’s ecosystem approach—encouraging creators to pair handheld stabilized cameras with compact drones for more complete travel and vlog coverage.
For now, the biggest unanswered question remains availability. DJI is staying silent on when the Osmo Pocket 4P will be available to order, but with influencer comparisons already underway and extensive photos circulating, it looks like the company is moving into the final stages before a wider reveal.
