OPPO Find X8 Ultra: Global Launch Scrapped, Flagship Debuts in April

OPPO’s forthcoming flagship, the Find X8 Ultra, has stirred quite the conversation among tech enthusiasts. Originally, it was speculated to make its grand debut next month, following in the footsteps of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. However, recent updates from OPPO put an end to these rumors, confirming a launch set for April, not March.

Zhou Yibao, the manager of the OPPO Find series, clarified that the Find X8 Ultra was always intended for an April unveiling, dismissing any notion of postponement. Contradicting this, a popular leaker, Digital Chat Station, asserts different plans. This leaker suggests that the Find X8 Ultra will be powered by the yet-to-be-released MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, slated to be announced next month, just ahead of OPPO’s launch event. Additionally, OPPO is expected to introduce another new model—a 6.31-inch premium device possibly named the “Find X8 Mini” or “Find X8 Next.”

What might surprise OPPO fans worldwide is news surrounding the Find X8 Ultra’s market reach. Unlike its predecessors, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, which were made available globally, the Ultra model may not follow suit. Tipster Yogesh Brar has disclosed that OPPO has rescinded its plans for a worldwide release of this highly anticipated device. Despite this, it remains uncertain whether the Find X8 Ultra’s availability will be restricted to China or if it might be accessible in selective global regions such as Singapore.

As the launch date approaches, tech enthusiasts and potential buyers will be eagerly waiting to see how OPPO navigates these changes and what the final specifications and availability for the Find X8 Ultra will look like. Given the shifting dynamics of the global smartphone market, OPPO’s strategy with the Find X8 Ultra is one to watch closely.
