OnePlus Phones Get Dual Bluetooth Audio Sharing With Latest OxygenOS Update
OnePlus is rolling out a useful new OxygenOS update that brings a long-awaited audio feature to select phones: the ability to stream sound to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. That means you can now watch a movie, listen to music, enjoy a podcast, or share a video with someone nearby without handing over one earbud or using a splitter.
The new dual Bluetooth audio feature is included in OxygenOS 16.0.8.300/301 and is currently arriving for the OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R, OnePlus 13, and OnePlus 13s. The rollout is available in India, Europe, and North America, though it may take a few days to reach every eligible device.
With this update, OnePlus users can connect two pairs of Bluetooth earbuds, headphones, or speakers and play audio through both at once. This is especially helpful for travel, workouts, late-night movie watching, or sharing music with a friend without disturbing others.
One of the best parts is that the feature does not appear to be limited to OnePlus-branded accessories. Users should be able to connect a wide range of Bluetooth earbuds or headphones, making the feature more flexible and practical for everyday use.
To use dual audio on a supported OnePlus phone, first connect both Bluetooth audio devices to the phone. After both devices are paired and connected, start playing music, video, or any other media. Then swipe down to open the control panel, tap the media player, and select the earbuds icon in the top-right corner. Both connected audio devices should appear on the screen. Choose the second device, and your OnePlus phone will begin streaming audio to both.
The update also lets users control the volume for each connected Bluetooth device separately. This is a small but important detail, since different earbuds and headphones often have different loudness levels. One person can listen at a higher volume while the other keeps things quieter.
If you own one of the supported models, you can check for the update manually by opening Settings, going to System & Updates, and selecting Software Update. Since OxygenOS updates usually roll out in stages, the update may not appear immediately for everyone.
Alongside Bluetooth audio sharing, the latest OxygenOS update adds several other improvements. OnePlus has introduced a customizable audio equalizer with Pop and Rock presets, as well as manual frequency controls for users who want more control over their sound.
Gamers also get a small upgrade with Game Capture now supporting screenshots at 2K resolution. This should make captured gameplay images sharper and more detailed.
The Weather app has been updated too. It can now show moonrise, moonset, and lunar phase information directly on the homepage, giving users more detailed weather and sky-related data at a glance.
Outdoor Mode is also getting more useful. Users can now pin favorite apps to a shortcut bar, making it easier to quickly open essential apps while outside or on the move.
For now, OnePlus has only confirmed the dual Bluetooth audio feature for the OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R, OnePlus 13, and OnePlus 13s through the OxygenOS 16.0.8.300/301 update. It is not yet clear whether older flagship models or Nord-series phones will receive the same feature later.
Still, this is a welcome addition for OnePlus users. Dual Bluetooth audio sharing makes phones more convenient for entertainment, travel, and shared listening, and it brings OxygenOS closer to offering the kind of polished everyday features users expect from modern Android flagships.
