OnePlus Brings Dual Bluetooth Audio Sharing to More Phones in Latest OxygenOS Update

OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 12 receive dual Bluetooth audio sharing with latest OxygenOS update

OnePlus is expanding one of its most convenient audio features to more smartphones. The OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 12 are now receiving support for dual Bluetooth audio streaming through the latest OxygenOS 16.0.8.300 update, giving users the ability to play the same audio through two pairs of wireless earbuds at the same time.

This feature is ideal for anyone who wants to watch a movie, listen to music, enjoy a podcast, or share a video with another person without handing over one earbud or relying on a speaker. With dual Bluetooth audio, both listeners can connect their own earbuds and enjoy the same sound from a single OnePlus phone.

Even better, each connected pair of earbuds gets independent volume controls. That means one person can listen at a lower volume while the other turns things up, making the experience more comfortable and personal for both users.

The update is currently rolling out in India in stages, with availability expected to expand to Europe and North America soon. Since this is a phased OTA release, not every device will receive it at the same time. Some users may see the update within a couple of days, while others may need to wait up to a week.

To check for the update manually, OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 12 owners can go to Settings, then System & Updates, and select Software Update.

The arrival of dual Bluetooth audio on the OnePlus 13R was expected, but its inclusion on the OnePlus 12 is especially welcome. The OnePlus 12 remains a powerful flagship device, and this update adds even more value for users who plan to keep the phone for years. It also raises hopes that other models, such as the OnePlus 12R, could receive the same feature in the future.

Alongside Bluetooth audio sharing, the OxygenOS 16.0.8.300 update brings several useful improvements. The Weather app now shows moonrise, moonset, and lunar phase details directly on its home screen, making it more informative for users who like tracking daily weather and sky conditions.

Outdoor Mode is also getting a helpful upgrade. Users can now pin frequently used apps to the bottom status bar, allowing quicker access when they are outside or on the move. This should make it easier to launch important apps without digging through menus.

Gamers also get a small but useful enhancement. The Game Capture tool inside Game Assistant now supports 2K resolution screenshots, allowing players to capture sharper and more detailed in-game moments.

The update also includes the June 2026 Android security patch, improving overall device security and system stability.

With this rollout, OnePlus continues to bring practical software features to both newer and older premium devices. For OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 12 users, dual Bluetooth audio sharing may quickly become one of the most useful additions in OxygenOS, especially for travel, commuting, movie nights, or simply sharing music with someone nearby.
