A new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle featuring EA Sports FC 27 has been announced, with a release date set for October 15. The package is aimed at select Latin American markets, including Brazil, where soccer remains one of the biggest forces in gaming and entertainment.
This is a notable move because most Switch 2 bundles so far have focused on Nintendo’s own games. Previous console packages have been built around major first-party releases such as Mario Kart World and Pokémon Legends: Z-A. By adding EA Sports FC 27 to the lineup, Nintendo is showing more interest in region-focused bundles tied to local gaming preferences.
The new Switch 2 EA Sports FC 27 bundle includes a digital copy of the soccer game. The box does not appear to feature a fully customized design, but the EA Sports FC 27 logo is displayed on the packaging, making it clear what buyers are getting with the console.
In Brazil, the bundle is listed with an MSRP of R$4,699. That makes it far from a budget option, especially when converted into U.S. dollars, where it lands above $900. However, the price reflects local market conditions and follows Nintendo’s regional pricing after recent console price increases across Latin America.
Even with its high price, the EA Sports FC 27 bundle is reportedly slightly less expensive than some other Switch 2 bundle options in the region, including the Mario Kart World package and upcoming sports-themed alternatives. That could make it attractive to players who were already planning to buy both the console and EA’s latest soccer title.
The decision to pair the Switch 2 with EA Sports FC 27 makes sense for Brazil and other Latin American countries. Soccer games have a massive audience across the region, especially in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia. EA Sports FC 27 on Switch 2 aims to bring the handheld version closer to the experience available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Recent entries in the series have focused on improving feature parity across platforms, and FC 27 includes major multiplayer content such as The Grounds, an open-world-style social and competitive hub.
However, the Switch 2 version still comes with some compromises. Certain cross-play features are limited, meaning players may not always be able to match with users on other platforms. This could result in a smaller player pool for some online modes compared with the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions.
Performance is another area where expectations should be measured. EA Sports FC 27 on Switch 2 is reported to run at 30 frames per second in both handheld and docked modes. European buyers looking for a more affordable Nintendo option recently saw the original Switch bundled with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at a lower price point, but no similar FC 27 package has been confirmed for Switch 2.
For now, the Nintendo Switch 2 EA Sports FC 27 bundle appears to be a targeted release designed for markets where soccer gaming is especially strong. It may not be cheap, but it gives Latin American players a convenient way to pick up Nintendo’s new console alongside one of the region’s most in-demand sports games.
