MSI has officially lifted the curtain on its latest ultra-compact mini PC lineup, the Cubi NUC TWG series. Built with a clean, business-ready look, these tiny desktops target everyday productivity in a chassis that measures just 0.55 liters, making them an easy fit for crowded desks, reception counters, classrooms, and space-saving home office setups. MSI is offering the line in two color options, but the company hasn’t announced pricing or release timing yet.
Two versions have been revealed so far: the Cubi NUC TWG and the Cubi NUC TWG S. The big difference is cooling. The standard TWG uses an active fan-based cooler, while the TWG S goes fully fanless for quieter operation and a simpler, low-maintenance design. Despite the different cooling approaches, MSI positions them in the same general performance tier, suggesting the fanless model should still feel responsive for the tasks it’s made for.
Both mini PCs will be available with Intel’s entry-level Twin Lake processors, specifically the Intel N250 or Intel N150. These chips are aimed at efficient, day-to-day computing rather than heavy content creation or demanding workloads. In other words, they’re a solid match for common office and home essentials like web browsing, email, document work, point-of-sale or kiosk duties, video playback, and general multitasking—just not the best choice if you’re planning to run high-end editing software or intensive workstation-level applications.
While MSI hasn’t listed every configuration buyers will be able to choose from, the company does confirm a practical baseline for upgrades and storage. The Cubi NUC TWG series includes one DDR5 SO-DIMM slot for memory and one M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 3 slot for SSD storage. That combination should be appealing to anyone who values a small system that can still be serviced or upgraded without replacing the entire machine.
Connectivity is another area where these mini PCs try to punch above their size. MSI equips both models with a wide selection of ports for peripherals and multi-monitor setups, including:
2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode
4x USB 2.0 Type-A
1x 1G Ethernet
1x 2.5G Ethernet
2x HDMI
1x 3.5 mm audio jack
For modern wireless needs, the Cubi NUC TWG series also supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. MSI highlights triple-display output support as well, which can be especially useful for office productivity, trading dashboards, conference-room systems, or any workflow that benefits from extra screen real estate.
Overall, the MSI Cubi NUC TWG and TWG S look designed for buyers who want a compact Intel mini PC that focuses on everyday performance, plenty of ports, and efficient operation—plus the option to go fanless for a quieter workspace. Now the remaining question is where pricing lands and when the systems will hit stores.
