Epson Unveils a High-End UV Flatbed Printer—With a Price to Match

Epson has introduced a new ultra-premium UV flatbed printer aimed at businesses and creators who need high-end, flexible printing across a wide range of products. Officially announced as the Epson SureColor V4000, this model is built with professional output in mind—supporting everything from signage and photo work to fine art reproductions and custom promotional items like keychains, golf balls, and pens.

The SureColor V4000 expands Epson’s UV flatbed lineup, joining other models in the SureColor V series. With this launch, Epson is clearly targeting print shops, sign makers, and customization businesses looking for vivid color, sharp detail, and the ability to add elevated finishes that help products stand out on shelves or in client presentations.

One of the major highlights is Epson’s 10-color UltraChrome UV ink system. Epson says the expanded color set is designed to produce vibrant prints with crisp detail, including clean, readable small text—an important benefit for labels, product branding, and detailed promotional graphics. The ink set includes red and gray, which helps broaden color accuracy and improve tonal control for more nuanced images and textured effects.

For creators who want prints that look and feel premium, the printer also includes varnish ink. This allows users to choose between gloss and matte varnish effects, adding both visual depth and tactile texture. For signage, retail display work, and promotional products, varnish finishing can be a powerful differentiator—helping designs appear more dimensional and more “high-end” without having to outsource specialty finishing.

In terms of capacity, the SureColor V4000 supports a large print area of up to 27.5 inches by 38.5 inches, giving users more room to handle larger boards, multiple items in one run, or more ambitious artwork layouts. Epson also emphasizes practicality in day-to-day operation: the printer features refillable ink tanks, a space-saving design that can fit through a 6-foot doorway, and it runs on standard 110V power—details that matter for smaller shops that may not have industrial power setups or oversized installation paths.

Epson is also packaging the SureColor V4000 with workflow and monitoring features meant for production environments. It includes Epson Edge Print Pro software for print management, along with Epson Cloud Solution PORT for tracking and management tools—useful for keeping an eye on usage, uptime, and service needs as production demands scale.

Pricing reflects the “ultra-premium” positioning. The Epson SureColor V4000 UV Flatbed printer is listed at $53,995, with availability expected in summer 2026 through Epson’s official sales channels. For businesses focused on premium signage, fine art output, and profitable customization work, the V4000 aims to deliver a combination of high detail, bold color, and finish options designed to elevate the final product.
