MSI has officially unveiled its new MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24, a high-end 31.5-inch gaming monitor built for players and creators who want sharp 4K visuals without sacrificing speed. With a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a fast 240Hz refresh rate, the display is positioned as a future-facing option for PC gaming, console play, and professional workstations that demand both clarity and motion smoothness.
One of the biggest talking points is the inclusion of DisplayPort 2.1a with UHBR20 support. That matters because it delivers up to 80 Gbps of bandwidth, opening the door for 4K at 240Hz without relying on Display Stream Compression (DSC). For users pairing the monitor with newer graphics cards, this can translate into a cleaner, more straightforward high-refresh 4K experience. MSI also includes two HDMI 2.1 ports for broad compatibility with modern devices, plus a USB-C connection that offers up to 98W Power Delivery, making it easy to power and connect a laptop with a single cable.
The MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 uses a 4th-generation tandem QD-OLED panel design based on EL Gen 3 technology. MSI describes it as a 5-layer setup aimed at boosting light efficiency by around 30% while reducing overall power consumption. For image quality, the monitor is rated for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and carries ClearMR 13000 certification. It’s also listed as covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, with peak brightness reaching up to 1000 nits—specs that should appeal to anyone who wants deep OLED contrast for games and rich color for content creation.
To help protect the panel over time, MSI highlights two notable features. The first is its “DarkArmor” film, which the company says increases scratch resistance by 2.5 times and improves perceived black depth by 40%. The second is an AI Care Sensor powered by an NPU, designed to detect human presence and dim the screen when nobody is in front of it. The goal is to reduce burn-in risk while automatically managing pixel protection using what MSI calls real-time environmental awareness.
MSI is also aiming at hybrid setups where a single monitor might serve as both a gaming centerpiece and a productivity hub. Alongside USB-C charging, the monitor includes a KVM switch, which can make it easier to control multiple devices with one set of peripherals—useful for switching between a gaming PC and a work laptop.
Availability is expected soon, though MSI hasn’t published official pricing on the product page at the time of the announcement. Monitors in this class often launch around the $1,300 range, but final pricing will ultimately determine how aggressively the MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 competes in the premium 4K 240Hz OLED monitor market.
