Moto Pad 70 Groove India Launch Set for July 31 With 12.1-Inch 2.5K Display, Massive Battery, and JBL Audio
Motorola is getting ready to introduce its new entertainment-focused tablet, the Moto Pad 70 Groove, in India on July 31. Ahead of the official launch, new details have surfaced, revealing that the tablet is designed to deliver a big-screen multimedia experience with a bright display, long battery life, and a powerful speaker setup.
The Moto Pad 70 Groove will feature a large 12.1-inch display with a 2.5K resolution, making it well-suited for streaming movies, watching shows, gaming, studying, and everyday productivity. The screen will support a 120Hz refresh rate, which should help provide smoother scrolling, better animations, and a more responsive feel while using apps or playing supported games.
Motorola is also highlighting the tablet’s display quality. The panel can reach up to 800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode, which should make it easier to view content in bright indoor environments or under stronger lighting. The display will also support HDR10 and Dolby Vision, giving users richer contrast, deeper colors, and a more cinematic viewing experience on supported content.
Battery life is another major highlight of the Moto Pad 70 Groove. The tablet will come with a large 10,200mAh battery, and Motorola claims it can deliver up to 15 hours of video playback on a single charge. Motorola will also include a 68W charger in the box. However, the company has not yet confirmed the maximum charging speed supported by the tablet itself. Even so, the inclusion of a high-wattage charger is a welcome detail, especially at a time when many devices ship with fewer accessories.
The Moto Pad 70 Groove is also expected to stand out in the audio department. Motorola has already confirmed that the tablet will feature a nine-speaker JBL sound system with up to 48W audio output. It will also support Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, making it one of the more audio-focused tablets in its segment. This speaker setup could appeal to users who regularly watch movies, stream music, attend video calls, or play games without always relying on headphones.
Based on the confirmed specifications, there is growing speculation that the Moto Pad 70 Groove may be closely related to the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2. That tablet features a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera. If the Moto Pad 70 Groove shares similar hardware, it could offer a balanced mix of performance, display quality, sound, and battery life.
