Motorola Unveils Sleek New 5G Tablet With a Stunning 12.1-Inch 2.5K Display

Motorola Moto Pad 70 launched in India with 12.1-inch 2.5K display, 5G, Moto Pen and 10,200 mAh battery

Motorola has officially introduced the Moto Pad 70 in India, expanding its tablet lineup with a large high-resolution display, 5G support, a powerful battery, and a bundled stylus. Aimed at students, professionals, creators, and entertainment users, the new Android tablet brings a premium feature set at a mid-range price.

The Moto Pad 70 comes with a 12.1-inch LCD screen offering a 2.5K resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The display supports a 90 Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling, gaming, and video playback. Motorola says the panel can reach up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode, which should make it easier to view content in bright indoor and outdoor conditions. It also covers 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it suitable for streaming, reading, sketching, and light creative work.

Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Buyers can choose between 128 GB and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For users who need more room for apps, videos, documents, and offline files, the Moto Pad 70 also supports microSD card expansion up to 2 TB.

Motorola has included a 13 MP autofocus rear camera on the Moto Pad 70, capable of recording Full HD videos. On the front, there is an 8 MP camera for video calls, online classes, meetings, and selfies. The tablet also carries an IP52 rating, giving it basic protection against dust and light splashes.

One of the key highlights of the Moto Pad 70 is the included Moto Pen. The stylus supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt detection, and palm rejection, making it useful for note-taking, drawing, document marking, and precise navigation. Motorola is also offering an optional Moto Folio Keyboard, which connects through pogo pins and can turn the tablet into a more laptop-like productivity device.

The Moto Pad 70 runs Android 16 out of the box and includes Motorola’s Smart Connect feature. This allows the tablet to work more smoothly with compatible smartphones and PCs, helping users share content, manage tasks, and move between devices more easily.

For entertainment, the tablet features a four-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support, promising a more immersive audio experience for movies, music, games, and video calls. Connectivity options include 5G support, making the Moto Pad 70 a strong option for users who want fast mobile data on the go.

Battery life is another major selling point. The tablet packs a large 10,200 mAh battery and supports 68 W fast charging. This should make it suitable for long study sessions, workdays, streaming marathons, and travel use.
