Moto G77 Power India Launch Set for July 8 With 7,000mAh Battery, 120Hz Display, and 5G Support
Motorola is getting ready to introduce the Moto G77 Power in India on July 8, 2026, and the brand has already revealed the phone’s complete specifications ahead of the official launch. The upcoming smartphone is shaping up to be a strong option for users who want long battery life, a large smooth display, 5G connectivity, and practical features like a headphone jack.
The Moto G77 Power comes with a 6.72-inch LCD display offering a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The screen also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, gaming, and everyday navigation feel smoother compared to standard 60Hz panels. For users who watch videos, browse social media, or play games on their phones, the large high-refresh-rate display could be one of the device’s biggest attractions.
Powering the Moto G77 Power is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. Built on a 6nm process, the processor is paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MP2 GPU. This setup should offer dependable performance for daily tasks, multitasking, streaming, and casual gaming. The phone will be available in two storage variants: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage.
Motorola is also including microSD card support, allowing users to expand storage by up to 1TB. This makes the Moto G77 Power a practical choice for people who store lots of photos, videos, apps, music, and offline content on their phones.
For photography, the Moto G77 Power features a dual rear camera system. The main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor, which should help capture detailed images in different lighting conditions. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, useful for landscape shots, group photos, and wider scenes. On the front, the phone includes a 32MP selfie camera for video calls, selfies, and social media content.
The biggest highlight of the Moto G77 Power is its massive 7,000mAh battery. This is a major upgrade over the standard Moto G77, which features a smaller 5,200mAh battery. With this larger capacity, the Moto G77 Power is expected to deliver extended usage on a single charge, making it appealing for heavy users, travelers, gamers, and anyone who prefers not to recharge frequently.
Charging is handled through 30W wired charging via a USB-C 2.0 port. The phone also supports 6W wired reverse charging, meaning it can be used to charge compatible accessories or other devices in emergencies.
Motorola has also kept several useful everyday features on the device. The Moto G77 Power includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly rare on modern smartphones. It also comes with stereo speakers supported by Dolby Atmos, aiming to provide a better audio experience for music, videos, and games.
Connectivity options include 5G support, making the phone ready for faster mobile networks where available. On the software side, the Moto G77 Power will ship with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has promised one year of major operating system upgrades and three years of security updates.
In terms of design and durability, the Moto G77 Power measures 166.23 x 76.50 x 8.89mm and weighs 215 grams. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, giving it a layer of protection against everyday exposure to dust and light splashes.
The phone will be available in four Pantone color options: Impenetrable, Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red, and Laurel Green. These color choices suggest Motorola is targeting users who want a phone that feels a bit more stylish and expressive than typical budget and mid-range devices.
Motorola has not yet announced the official price of the Moto G77 Power in India. However, with its 7,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, 50MP Sony camera, expandable storage, headphone jack, stereo speakers, and 5G support, the device could become a competitive option in the Indian smartphone market if priced aggressively. The final pricing and availability details are expected to be revealed at the launch on July 8.
